He is shooting about his expected over the last few years. The one thing that is going to help is Malkin coming back and bumping him down and giving him better matchups. This has the makings of a deep team. - burgh4life87
It was a joke because his last three goals all went off dmen.

You would think they were attached at the hip haha - 668710
You can see how Sullivan wants to go when Geno and Rust return:
Jake-Sid ERod
Zucker-Malkin-Rust
Heinen-Carter-Kapanen
ZAR-Blueger-McGinn
Sullivan wanted to see if Heinen can play with Carter. I think he's done the job.

I agree other than Kap. Kap hasn't clicked with any of the other centers it seems, but he seems to play really well with Geno. We need to revisit that. |

Since Zucker and ZAR are the same player with ZAR being better defensively maybe switch the two? Really don’t know what to do with Zucker at this point. |

Very happy to see Rodrigues meshing with Guentzel and Crosby. The same could be said about Zucker and Heinen with Carter. This means Malkin will get back with Rust and Kapanen as his wingers. Awesome news.
Our PK and 4th line is just pretty good.
Guentzel-Crosby-Rodrigues
Rust-Malkin-Kapanen
Zucker-Carter-Heinen
AstonReese-Blueger-McGinn
O'Connor-Boyle-Simon

Just saw your post and I agree. Kapanen benefits a lot from Geno's style of game. He'll get a lot of passes on the breakaway. |

I can't remember, does both Rust and Kap suck on the LW? If Rod keeps it up why not just try Rust and Kap with Geno - 668710
I don't know if Kap has ever played there. Rust has but isn't as effective. I think if it was between those 2 I'd play Rust with Geno and Kap in bottom 6. |

I kind of like that. Still not sure if I want Malkin with Zucker, but I don't want to reunite Zucker-Carter-Kapanen either haha. |

I missed the first and fell asleep in the third, but nice to see the second line and DeSmith both had strong games, even if it was against a weak opponent.
ERod and Heinen look like they are giving the Pens options to lengthen the line-up. And maybe that they don't need to add a forward. |

I think we're going to get the best of Kap when he's with Geno. Otherwise trade him. |

Our fourth line was horrid last night, even after ZAR was reunited in the third. They were lucky the Kracken are a soft team. I was amazed when I noticed Blueger led the forwards in ice time. Especially after that line was benched for the majority of the third period, as they should have been.
They've been handled fairly easily all season. They've been fortunate Jarry has been there to bail them out. They need to play better, period.
Washington dominated that line last game and they will again. Not looking forward to Friday.

I'm not attached to anyone on the 4th line as I could live with Simon/Boyle/O'Connor rotating there. In some nights they'll be exposed. |
