So what’s the word? AV and Therien (sp?) out? Yeo in?
- Dkos

NHL radio saying Tocchet would be the perfect coach for this team. Not sure I agree or disagree. But that seems to be the scuttlebutt as to who they think would be hired.

Yes, I'm rooting for rock bottom too.

Yes me too! there is no other way to solve this. We need Yeo to fail miserably so Fletcher can blow this up, and it must start with saying good-bye to Giroux. I love him as a player and I'm not blaming him, but he need to move on from him once and for all and start over. We can get really good assets for him this season that can really kick start a true rebuild, no more "sort-of" rebuilds. The Rangers are the blue print that should be followed.

Yeo is interim.

Sigh

I guess they need someone to run the thing for now.

- MBFlyerfan

Ugh, oh well. Hopefully he’s just the guy for a very short time

It can’t get worse at least

Right?

Right??

Yeo is the interim coach. Fletcher will probably elevate his other lackey Chris Stewart and have him behind the bench.

He may be, but I think its better to hire the next coach in the off season once Fletcher determines which direction he is going. I hope its in the direction of a big reset.

Ahh yes..... go the way of the good old boy network and hire a coach who never won a playoff series in his 6 years behind the bench. He would be perfect! He'd fit right in.

Tocchet and Hextall were my first favorite players growing up. Tocchet is not a great coach. Hopefully they do not go that route.

I am not saying I agree or disagree with Tocchet (lean to the don't want him side). But you always come in here spouting your bile but never offer an opinion as to who you would hire/callup/play/etc.

Enlighten us as to who you would hire. I want a name, not some vague comment about it being pathetic blah blah blah.

I am not privy enough to all the available newer coaches who are available out there like you are. Who doesn't fit the "old boy network" criteria you seem to be so in tune to?

Who would you hire?

We had a whole coaching staff with experience and they failed before that we had a top college coach and etc etc before that. Maybe it’s time to hold the players accountable?

Same here. Those guys were my favorites as a kid as well, but you can't just expect to bring in ex-players as a recipe for success. Great for nostalgia, but doesn't typically work out in the long-term.

Fletcher said as much in his last presser, they don't have the personnel in the organization to compete.

That is on him. He's the General Manager. I would rather they fired him than Vigneaault.

Hahaha, this is a great post. I'm still a big G fan, but this legit made me lol. That's the kind of creative thinking CF wishes he had.

Yeo is the 6th coach in the last 7 years.

Imagine being one of the people who defend this franchise at every turn?
