though tbh I only ever order the cold cut combo, meatball or pizza

also the move is to get all the toppings basically, but instead of saying "everything" you tell them each topping one at a time because they load it up way more expecting you're going to say three toppings but you really ask for 12, and then they hate you when they try to fold the sandwich but it's worth it

I was on the trade Marner ship during the off-season, I didn't think the Leafs had any space to sign anyone of value..

I realize now, I may have been wrong.. Bunting, Kase and Ritchie combined make less than Hyman does..

The way I look at is, if you want to use precedent, then looking at all of hockey and sports history, it's actually highly unusual for a team to finish very high in the standings and consistently not win a playoff round. So in actual fact there's more precedent for the Leafs to win in the playoffs because of their past losses, given their regular season record. Betting on a team to lose in the first round for the sixth time in a row when they are a 100 point team is not a high percentage play, it's a butthurt emotional Leaf fan prediction.

To be fair to the Rags, they missed the playoffs 3 of the past 4 seasons (* the one time they "made it" they were swept in the QO round) under Gorton and only made it past the first round once during his tenure.

He's not the best RW in hockey and shouldn't be paid as such.

They had to pay him that much or he would have sat. This is due to Lamoriello (frank)ing him over and refusing to give him bonuses in his first contract.

The only guy Lou did give bonuses too on their first contract was Matthews and I’m pretty damn certain Shanny and even the owners told LL what to do there.

I'm surprised there hasn't been much made of the fact a fan threw a Habs jersey and hat onto the ice in Montreal last night in the 3rd period!

When it happens in Toronto it's reporting on as a top breaking story and all the other fan bases line up to laugh and point and claim Toronto is just so terrible....I suppose that's the price to pay to be the Centre of the Hockey Universe though.

This doesn't invalidate my point that he's overpaid by 2M~ and that he is not the best RW in the league and shouldn't be compensated as such.

It does make you wonder how Lou would have handled Marner's post-ELC contract.

IMHO, it's the one and only major mistake Dubas has made to date.
