From the tweeter
"Matthews jumped past MacKinnon in career goals last night. Auston's 212 to Nathan's 211. Big difference though...227 less games played for Auston. Doing the feat in 355GP V 582 for the other guy." - Fakepartofme
Well I guess that settles it. |

Bergy was the best GM they had in 30 years
From a results perspective
My conspiracy theory was that Molson soured on the Mailloux pick which basically wiped out the likability and goodwill the franchise had generated for the fans through the long playoff run and Molson was just looking for an excuse to make a change, which the Habs gave when they poop the bed this season.
What's the past tense for poop by the way? I don't think it's shat or poopted officially? |

Cause weve seen the leafs play this well for several seasons.....in the reg season
I believe last year start mirrors this one after 24 games...or pretty darn close.
Except campbell is playing much better than he did last year and we have the mighty kampfire. - Fakepartofme
That doesn’t invalidate the quality of their play to date. It doesn’t mean it translates into a Cup win or even a first round victory but it does mean that right now, they are one of the best teams in the league. That matters in assessing what might happen going forward. Are all of the other top teams, except TBL dismissed because they had poopty playoffs last year?

I'll be honest, I don't think I've ever heard someone say "hitting on all cylinders." Therefore, it is clearly dumb. |

Why can't it be both?

How is it any different than people discounting the team’s play to date because playoffs - Canada Cup
One opinion has a long history to support it. The other has virtually no success to support their point. |

The moment someone says "Leafs in 4", the season is over.
Losing is bad enough, but the endless capacity for Leafs fans to get ahead of themselves is even worse. It is not too far off the mark to say they are basically planning the parade with every hot streak or fortunate bounce. It's like they haven't experienced the endless capacity for this organization to poop the bed. - Aetherial
I had a guy last weekend tell me that Joseph Woll was the next big thing and that he's a legit starter moving forward.
At first I was like "Max, is that you?" then reminded him that he's had 3 career games playing behind a team that is playing really sound defensive hockey. He wanted nothing of it and was insistent.
I guess this is how Leafs fans get bad names?

If you have to blame anyone, blame Patrick Roy and the '93 stanley cup.
