Reminds me of what happened to the NBA in the post-Jordan era with all the kids who grew up watching him. They forgot about the fundamentals and were always looking for the highlight-reel play/basket.

Listening to the Caps feed. They're impressed with the Hawk centers driving the lane without the puck creating space. Thought the Hawks had too much possession time outworking the Caps. Spoke about Hagel a good bit, Slavin too.

Hagel-Towes-Kane seem like a good fit. Hagel gets to pucks, Kaner is Kaner and Johnny is Johnny. Soon we'll see if King can hit on combinations and lines as he gets to know his squad.

Hawks looked as good as one can hope vs a damn fine Caps group. We'll see how long it lasts tonight.

He does have some good attributes, but no speed and no desire is a bad combination. If he would put on a few pounds and compete more, he would be okay, even with his lack of speed.
