IT WAS 99% certain Eichel was never going to walk again, let alone play hockey.

Hate to say easy part, but the Surgery part is done. The big test for Eichel will be when he takes a big hit or a cross check to the back to see if the disc moves.
I remember Eichel was possibly going to die on the operating table if he got this weird experimental surgery done.
Seems like it’s not so risky after all.
Oh well. We will get a good return on the next superstar we trade - sbroads24
Hang tough man. The surgery had never been performed on an NHL player and the team was worried about durability of player after surgery. That is still a concern (even though the surgery was “successful”).
Now Tyler Johnson, on the back 9 of his career gets it. Must be “safe” for all and there are no concerns, right?
It opened the door for others to choose the proper surgery and hold the team up. Hawks have so many issues (last few months) that this is the least of their worries.
You were lucky. I would have liked to have seen him and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Gone way too soon. - c1067
Funny thing is the only reason I was up there was for HS. Took a class called Canadian Studies and we took a Field trip up there for the weekend. Bunch of us snuck out of the Hotel and we ended up there, definitely didn't expect to see him. Was a fan ever since.

hey I took that class too. Canadian Studies= Canadian Ballet. I really paid attention in that class... Learned A LOT
They get Malcolm Suban who has a .893 in the AHL. So he will have a worse save percentage than Dell in the NHL. Way to go Adams. Another tank year to help demoralize the new recruits. The slump will never end.

Canadian studies? We didn't have that in California.
