So all the picks traded away in that time might not have helped us. And most of these nobody's have been parts of TEAMS that have done a lot more than the Sabres have, and in there own way have helped those teams reach the Cup or playoffs. - Buff36
Yeah, but we brought in good players with track records who played well here and after they left. This BS arguement we "rushed" the last rebuild is just that: BS.
We happened in the last rebuild was our tank players - you know the ones we gladly lost for - have all been NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

But at the end of the day he was a minus for the night and was yet again a defensive liability. Look Dahlin has great offensive upside but he is bad at defense.
What good is he if he scores 40 points and ends up being a minus player? - hehateme
Plus minus is incredibly irrelevant
Dahlin isn’t “giving up goals” he’s not a goalie
Also, he was a -1 last night
Olofsson was a -4. Didn’t hear a peep from anyone on how the Panthers scoring goals was his fault at all
It's what we all want. We truly just pray the losing never ever ends. I am going to go the Washington game this weekend and root for Ovi. - RhinoFan
poop, I started rooting for OV in Sabres Caps games 7 years ago when he signed my jersey. When you're that good (an actual generational talent) you go beyond the laundry.
All I can do is laugh at this point. It sucks that this team's goaltending is deflating these kids. Good job Kim. - mhp
While goaltending is the stand out issue to me last nights game shed light to what Granato has hid well since Krueger left. This team doesn’t know how to hold a lead.
The players don’t sound as mentally fatigued which is an indication of healthier locker room but this roster is missing a spark plug, a killer instinct and goaltending.

there's a book on the sabres...teams know who they are and what they do under granato...they're getting caved, it's costing them games and the problem, as pham pointed out post-game, is that donnie meatballs isn't doing anything to counter that....the question is, why?

Maybe he is and the players just don't get it right away.
I really pray to baby Jesus that GMKA grows a set and trades for a REAL NHL goalie for the future. IMO, I fear UPL is not going to be good maybe a good back up but not a good starter.
