At this point, I dont have any faith in Sweeney's cap management skills to pull off a trade like this. Nor do I think Giordano would want to come to Boston. If he goes anywhere, it will to be one of the top teams. - dothedougie
This. To me it's a such a bad look. A kid you reached for in the draft, that most likely was still going to be there in the second round is now asking for a trade. Yuck. |

To be fair, i think he actually is playing decent in Providence right now but the Bruins have too many 1 way contracts so they can't easily get him or Studnicka in the Lineup.
i would much rather see them get a shot then Blidh and Lazar.

Studs yes. Senyshyn, well it has basically turned out more or less how I expected. Dont think he is an NHL player. If he was, they would have made room for him by now instead of signing pale shades of former nhl players to plug holes. |

I know a couple of you said you would trade Kane for Debrusk.
new video emerging has Kane pointing gun at wife, allegedly.

Yeah my immediate reaction was solely as a hockey move. The dude is an absolute mess.
Hopefully they shift focus to JT Miller if he’s available

If they nabbed JT miller, where do you think he would play at? 2nd or 3rd line? |

Sweeney sucks, he really does. Sounds like a smart guy but he really hasn’t done anything after inheriting a Stanley cup core.
The only thing he’s done is sign 63/88/37 to unbelievable contracts. I feel it’s really these cost savings only the team has been a contender for years and allowed Don to get away with some bad contracts. His ability to build off that is dismal. The Hall acquisition and signing was pretty good.
Don is really good at trading and signing for average players. His drafting is garbage too. Mccavoy fell into his lap and so should have Barzal.
The perfection line is so good they will probably make the playoffs and possibly win a round, maybe...But that’s it until the Defence improves. |

Coyle and Hall? Then do a foligno-haula-smith third line? |

Probably go hall Miller smith to start
Then haula - coyle - foligno
Rotate them all until something sticks but I think Jt Miller will bring much needed offensive depth. Maybe even hertl if he’s available. |

Ahh, I forget miller plays center too. He had a good game the other night. Wonder if he is still available. |

Other possible returns could be Appleton from Seattle, Kravsov or Strome from NYR, Crouse from Arizona and I've read one article that mentions Boeser |

Will be interesting to see what the return is. Seems like there is plenty of interest. Now its time to see what kind of Sweeney move this is going to be. |

Yeah, Coyle is a good 3C and a below average 2C. Krejci screwed us... |

It appears that way. I thought Coyle could pull it off but his point production is very inconsistent.. Also thought Hall could create his own offence a bit more.

Hall has never been the guy to stir the drink so to speak. He needs a center that is creative. Krejci was a great match for him.

I kind of used to think the opposite. He didn’t have much in NJ during his MVP season.
Yes Krejci is missed.... |

Hall is a 41 game guy. Multiple point games. 10 game point streaks. Then poof, gone just like that for 10 games or more. that was the risk with him, because when you lean on him, he is a house of cards half the time. |

Really enjoyed watching Swayman last night. He deserved that game. Makes the future in net look promising at least.
We done with Ullmark yet? |

The B's looked good last night. That goal from DeBrusk. I imagine that's the stuff potential suiters see. Kid has the skills. It's so frustrating to watch. |

Yeah. Wish the situation had played out differently. Hopefully he strings together some good games to entice a decent trade. |
