Pretty mild winter so far, huh?
I’m quite pleased.. - pete26
Yeah supposed to be +15 here. Heat bill is pretty minimal so far. Not going to complain about it at all. |

Management is more about stability than it is the wild throws of passion you may get from that stallion.
I'll take stallions as players. Coaching? Management? Naw I need level headed stability - Takemedrunkimhome
Doesn't it depend what you are managing ? I mean a Pharmacy and a pro sports where the emotions fly high in the playoffs especially ( not that we will see that this year) might require a different formula ! |

Imagine playing a guy at his natural position and he plays better...his underlying/advanced numbers the last few games have been crazy too - especially that Seattle game - Takemedrunkimhome
He was easily their best forward against Dallas last night. monster underlying numbers again and the only goal. No complaints here. |

There’s no way Gorton hires Roy.

that has nothing to do with how smart Gorton is Pat. you hire an employee who will report to you. you're accountable. you make the dicision. period. - fidopro
well if Gorton has a say in the hiring, it shouldn't be so hard to admit that technically Molson isn't the ONLY one making the decision, as he's consulting him to hire the next GM... |

My point is simply...Molson says stuff all the time...I'm not going to hang my hat on the idea that he's telling the truth in full based on previous experiences.
I don't think you're wrong in saying Molson says X so you have no reason to think otherwise. Conversely I don't think I'm wrong based on track record not to believe Molson.
Sometimes stuff can be two things...or something - Takemedrunkimhome
time will tell, nothing much we can do but argue lol

It's not going to be Roy.. but it would be fun and there's no proof the team would be worse off. - Fredo
I agree and as I said yesterday he has my vote ! |

we know they must speak French - Karine Hains
This is just stupid. This isn't the 1970s. Diluting your candidate pool due to wanting to speak a different language than the rest of the continent makes no sense. |

just like when MB traded Subban for Weber. he asked around what others in the office were thinking. but at the end of the day HE made the decision. |

Of course it matters what you're managing.
Best pro sports exec of the last 30 years in my eyes is Bill Belichick and frankly I don't think it's even close. Calm, emotionless, stable. Never up. Never down. And in the league with the most parity that is designed to prevent dynasties, he's created the greatest one football has seen in the Superbowl era. Stability isn't a bad thing |

in this case I think Gorton has a much stronger influence on the decision, but if it makes you feel better to think Molson is totally in charge, that's cool.

It's reported behind closed doors he's ruthless but incredibly calm in tearing you down to pieces. I get why Brady wanted out (20 years of that can wear you down) and I also get why Belichick was able to turn it around so quickly and become a Superbowl threat again |

I think it more a requirement these days than the 50's, 60's and 70's.
D ick Irvin Sr was from Ontario. Toe Blake, Sam Pollock and Scott Bowman and Grundman were English Montrealer's. If they spoke French it was likely broken French. |
