Erne for Debrusk straight up. No picks. Don’t care if it’s a bad deal for Boston.

So far a Sony Playstation 2 is the highest bid, and still is after this offer.

Any interest from the Wings in DeBrusk? What would you trade for him, if you were the GM? I think he'd be worth the risk, but for nothing more than a 2nd rounder. That might be pushing it too.

I’d rather push to get Boeser if he became available

Head coach Dave Hakstol confirming Jordan Eberle, Jaden Schwartz, Will Borgen, and Chris Driedger (IR) "not available" tonight.

Moving parts aplenty with the lineup in Detroit.

Wow! The Wings better win this one! Not always the case that they win the games that they should win....that is why they play the game.

I was blown away by the number of people I saw on IG who said Jack Huges is a bust & shouldn't have gotten a contract, including NJ fans. I get it that people get impatient, I recall one person on this very board who called Raymond a bust for having a mediocre year in Sweden last year, but to want to give up on a #1 pick after two shortened seasons is insane. Year one he was on a horrible line. Last year he moved up and his production went up. I think he's developing nicely. It's pretty rare for an 18-year-old, especially his size, to dominate as a rookie or even a 2nd year. In his first few games, he looked like he turned it up another level, but why in the heck would a team give up on a #1 pick this soon? Someone here said he was injury prone, but there's no evidence of that, his separated shoulder was legit, and it happens if you play long enough, but it's not typically an injury that shortens careers, especially since he didn't require surgery.

Listen, if NJ wants to trade him away....YES PLEASE!! He's going to be a VERY solid player. Anyone who thinks just because someone's a #1 that they're going to trash Gretzky's numbers in his 1st year is an idiot. The same thing goes for "someone" who said Raymond was a bust. I said if he wasn't hitting it like The Captain thought he should be, it would be wise to send him to GR, but ONLY if he stunk the joint up. He's obviously a horrible player as he's shown with his 2 ROMs so far, so yeah....WHO said that again?!?!?!?

I think he's PROGRESSING well and ADDS TO THE PLAYER POOL....

I'll take JH in a heart-beat.

Stats don't lie; Detroit stunk the place up last night...except for Ned. Stall cost us a 5-on-3 because he's slow. Zadina had a laser-guided bomb shot for his goal. I REALLY hope he starts getting into his groove, his contract may be on the line....Staal got the GWG because he was so pissed off that he put us in the hurt-locker. I'm hoping this is his last year.

Say what you want, Ned's progressing VERY well and seems a sure-fire 1G, until Cossa comes in and shows he can take the 1B. Imagine THAT G tandem!!!!

When Vrana returns, this team may be a spoiler or a WC contender. Either way, I said this before the season and stick by it; Woe be the team that underestimates the Wings this season. I think, once Vrana gets back, he'll need a conditioning stint in GR (2-3 games), then hit his NHL stride (5 games or so) and should have around 22 games to go lights-out, or at least contribute some uncertainty to the Wing's opponents. This could very well be a Decision-Point season; make big moves to push for the SCPO, or another year to let the team germinate and grow. Will be interesting to see what happens....

JEREMY: We back your decision 100%. You've been such an amazing trooper through this. But you know what your limits are. When you hit them, you'll know....and know what to do. Until then, we've got your back and can help you carry the blog for a while; you've taught us very well how to look critically, be respectful of each other, and add humor. We can at least TRY to be like you...

Umm.... did you even watch the game last night ? Staal probably had his best game of the season last night. He's the only big, physical defenseman the wings have. He was banging bodies, blocking shots, and clearing the crease all night for Ned. That penalty on him was complete B.S... what a joke. He fills a hole for the Wings they can't fill with anyone else on the team. He's been a solid stay-at-home, big, physical defenseman. He is the type of player the Wings need when they're playing a bigger, physical team like the Bruins. He's definitely not part of the rebuild... but right now he has value.

What a smart excellent well coached game this was.
They played to "not lose"....and did it perfectly. Capitalized on the couple good chances they got.

So good to see a coaching and management staff that has everyone pulling the rope in the same direction.

Okay... so what point are you trying to make here ? That the Wings got outplayed and still won... ?? No kidding Einstein. That's how hockey goes sometimes. It's still a win. I guess you've never heard of a hot goalie stealing a game.
Good grief... what a stupid post. Go back to your Islanders blog Troll.

Regardless of vaccination status I would imagine most players, if not all, will eventually go through Covid protocol for legitimate reasons or false positive results. At least being a home game and before the game began it won't be another Larkin situation...
