Human bites are bad, there's a surprising amount of harmful bacteria in the human mouth and barring rabies they're more dangerous and prone to infection than many animal bites

Oh I understand that. Cross checks, hits to the head, which have immediate injuries come at lower suspensions. I find that narrative rather funny.

Basically it's a chart of defensemen who, once they have the puck in the defensive zone, do a good job of moving the puck out of the zone either with or without possession. So basically the volume indicates frequency, and the efficiency indicates success of possessive zone exit.
It says that less sung guys like Russell or Dermott do a good job of moving the puck out - which is really not that surprising. It's not an indicator of play prevention, puck retrieval, positioning, battles won or any of the other elements that Dermott sometimes struggles with - but one thing we all know he IS good at, is making a good outlet pass. - Monkeypunk
Yeah, I understand, generally, what they're attempting to show but it lacks true context in the form it has been presented in the tweet.
For example, for Volume, what is the exact number of attempts? Are we to believe the weight of Dermott's attempts should be on equal level to those of Pietro? Also, these numbers do not indicate the strength of competition each of these defenders are playing against -- should Dermott, on the third pair and playing against bottom lines, be scored with the same weight as, again, Pietro?
Also, when a zone has been cleared, is this simply dumping the puck out regardless of intended target (e.g. your own player or no one in particular)? Is this skating out with the puck? All things?
Again, I haven't read the article which may get into more specifics but it's these kinds of charts that are presented with very little context that I find difficult to glean anything very meaningful.

“Strength of comp”
Where are all the other 3rd pairings in the league?
He must be doing something right, I don’t mind him…I think he brings more then Holl most nights this year.
We can’t afford to be trading D, I’d rather hoard them and let them take turns playing in case of injuries.

Turns out biting someone gets you more games then some serious offenses. - Aaron_85
Biting is a serious offense and a very childish one.
Specially in the covidian/omicron age.
But yes headshots should come with longer suspensions as well.
If you were referring to that

Agreed.
As much as we could use holls 2m, we are in no position to move out a D yet.
Move mickey after he comes back and kills a few plays. - Fakepartofme
Meh.
Getting to that time where bottom pairing D can be had for pretty cheap.
I'd like them to cash in on Dermott's last bit of potential value and accumulate cap space for the TDL.
Plus I've watched a few Marlies games and I want to see Joey Duszak get a game or two. Rubins looks OK as well. Maybe as a 7th D.

Headshots are missed during games regularly, partly because players play through the hit to avoid going to the spotters during the game. The recent hit on Kampf was called a two minute minor for tripping and wasn't even reviewed. It was a similar type hit that put Crosby out for a long time. It seems rather inconsistent to call penalties on minor infractions and fail to punish both players and teams for this stuff imo. Honestly, I don't give a (frank) about intention either.

You know he's getting 4 points tonight, including the game winner, right?
Because Leafs. - Atomic Wedgie
When I take off the blue, thick-framed glasses, sober up from the Kool Aid, and really contemplate tonight's game objectively, using only my just-talking-hockey persective...6-0 Leafs, Matthews hat trick, Nylander hat trick. Kadri flying elbow off the top turnbuckle on Campbell, Campbell out for the season, Kadri 20 games.
