Basically it's a chart of defensemen who, once they have the puck in the defensive zone, do a good job of moving the puck out of the zone either with or without possession. So basically the volume indicates frequency, and the efficiency indicates success of possessive zone exit.
It says that less sung guys like Russell or Dermott do a good job of moving the puck out - which is really not that surprising. It's not an indicator of play prevention, puck retrieval, positioning, battles won or any of the other elements that Dermott sometimes struggles with - but one thing we all know he IS good at, is making a good outlet pass.

yeah the dream has been on fire this season, hopefully the return of mackinnon doesnt give the Av's too big of a spark. just need 34 to bury one and that'll quiet things
