seriousy, these guys are winners. all their life they've been competitors, played to win. you think one would come here just to have a title but do nothing? and then get fired for decisions they didn't make?
that doesn't make any sense.
the GM, whoever it is, will have the final word and be accountable. yes he'll work with Gorton (who will probably manage the draft and development), but at the end of the day the GM will decide. that's what Molson said, and that's what makes the most sense. imho

when the other 31 gms around the league call for a trade and realize it's Gordon who runs the show, you think the puppet will make a name for himself and be able to get a job elsewhere afterwards? that doesn't make any sense.

meh, if the GM constantly speaks to the media while Gorton quietly sits in the background we'll all have the impression the GM is making the decisions, while it might not be the case. anyways I doubt he would be a complete puppet, but someone with not that much experience will surely be strongly influenced by a guy like Gorton, which might not be such a bad thing after all.
