what's embarrassing about the phantoms.......with the years of draft and develop you would think they would at least be in contention........they're not even pushing for a wild card position. - Peter Richards
The Ratcliffes, rubstov and leberges are killing our AHL team. Its one thing for players to not make the NHL, but high picks being below average ahl players are totally killing our farm team. Even guys like bunnaman who we call up occasionally only has 2 points in 16 games. Poor drafting will do this. Hopefully in a couple years we have some better players on there.

Yes exactly. I've seen countless team with far less talent that the Flyers have, even with the injuries. Play a solid structured game and use team play to compete and stay in games. This team is a mess in all facets except goaltending. There is no indication at any level of play that the coaching staff is in control. - MJL
More of an indication the players are the problem for now tuning out their 3 & 4th coaches for the core.

This again?? Once and for all, Hockey is played 5 v 5 and is played for 3 twenty minute periods. This is how its been for decades and this has not changed! Ties have never left this sport! What you call something does not make it something other than it is. When the 3 periods conclude and the score is tied, the game is a TIE and each team gets 1 point. Anything after that is hockey theatre, whether its 3 on 3 or the shootout (skills competition). Its fun to watch, but its theatre! Yes a team gets an extra point for this theatre, but to me I will never concede a "real" loss when OT is not 5 on 5 and certainly not due to a skills competition. - jd250
You go ahead and don't concede that. Wait and see how that matters in the real world. What succeeding in that theatre can do is get your team into the playoffs.

I do believe however that if this continues for a 2nd straight year that CF needs to act boldly at the deadline to continue to change the mix of players, and in the off season find a new coach. But right now, CF needs to remain patient and see if the team can get healthy and play their way out of this. They did it in 2019, they can do it in 2021. - jd250
Another culture change? What team has ever drastically changed the mix of players on their team at the trade deadline. What needs to happen if this continues for the 2nd straight year is that there needs to be a new GM making those decisions along with a new coach. Another off season of Fletcher acting boldly should do it. |

If you want to turn it around this season, you can't be patient. Another bad week or two and its too late. Maybe if we were in a different division. Coaches shouldve been let go after the florida trip. Its been 80 games of awful, isn't that enough?

The Flyers should object to the league and file for a dismissal of the "theatre"

So OT and SO wins are not "real" wins?
Can't have it both ways |

What was the medical staffs reply to both Hayes and Ellis immediately re-injuring themselves? |

IMO the Flyers need to find better coaching candidates. Chief and Hak were total noobs. AV is a recycled dapper dinosaur.
Scott Gordon had the team going on the right track before they nixed his interim gig, tho. |

Even without a coaching change, what I don't like is that they don't do a good job grooming coaching talent. I'm sorry but I just don't see Lapariere as a future NHL coach. Yeo and Therrien are retreads. |

Chief turned around a struggling team with a rookie goalie & won a cup. Also, has his team playing pretty well so far this year |

So basically the Flyers organization is in the bottom 5 of both the NHL and AHL with a clown at the helm in the AHL. It is an absolute travesty what this once proud organization has become. I'm glad the game was postponed tonight cause that means I don't have to be aggravated again until tomorrow night when the Rags school this pack of sad sacks(6-1 Rags was my early prediction). |

more concerned with developing players before we worry about developing coaches.
