Thank you for bringing back from the dark side. Ok so 25 or last 29 superbowl winners are HOF. So isnt that like SUPER elite quarterback play then?
- ZiggyBuff

Until we can separate an entire body of a career, from singular seasons, there is no way we can have a reasonable discussion.

The Broncos didn’t win the SB in 2015 because Peyton was a HOF QB.

Neither did the Patriots in the early 2000’s or 2018.

Big Ben was nowhere close to elite his first go around.

nobody is arguing that
- Michael Pachla

Um....

One guy around here kinda stated that tom Brady wasn't elite......

Not elite = maybe not the goat either.

Brady would be a running back on a 110 yard field if someone had their way.....

How many more rings would Peyton and Rodgers have if the roles were reversed ?

.

if tom brady never threw a football, they would probably have more

Once again, Tom Brady is elite. He was not elite in a few SB winning seasons.

Peyton is 3-1 in AFC championship games head to head against Tom.

Tom Brady had the best supporting cast of all time.

Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers have played the QB position better than Tom.

But because team success is attributed to the QB position, Tom is better despite not being better at his own position then Peyton or Aaron.

Because Tom had Bill B, was guaranteed 5-6 wins a year in the AFC East, and played the easiest strength of schedule year after year he is the GOAT despite having average passing statistics in AFC championship games as I’ve already noted.

When do you look in the mirror and say....

I'm wrong?

Not 1 person agrees with you. ZERO.

Everyone else isn't just arguing with you, they are presenting facts that you are ignoring.

This is such an unusual arguement. A room full of Bill's fans defending tom Brady vs. A young broncos fan who probably didnt even understand football for most of his superbowls.

yeah, because jim brown played in an era where there wasn't a superbowl
- Michael Pachla

Barry Sanders, but in any event they both played in an era where it WAS run and stop the run.

Who's the best of the pass happy era? Peterson probably, and he doesn't have one either because they didn't have a QB. He had Christian Ponder, Tarvaris Jackson, Gus Ferotte, a washed up Donovan McNabb, Matt Cassel, and a 97 year old Brett Favre who almost took them to a SB in a resurgence year; Peterson had a 2000 yard season and they got beat by, wait for it, Aaron Rodgers in the Wild Card with Ponder at the helm.

You need a elite to super elite QB to win a superbowl. Statistics show this. These are facts

he is right

tom brady's stats are worse in afcchampionship games lost then regular season games vs the jets where he won

come on boss

of course I have no clue why he brings that up

the best rb's from mid 70's to mid 80's was harris, dorestt, campbell, and allen

they all got rings but campbell, as the oilers could not beat the steelers in the playoffs

Dan Marino was the best QB of all time till Peyton Manning, and soon to be Aaron Rodgers.

Yet Dan has 0 rings, Peyton had one until the Broncos gave him a defence, and Rodgers brings 3-13 rosters to the NFC divisional round, if not further, every year just to lose.

How many QB’s put up the stat line Aaron put up last week and lose ? That’s the story of that guys career.

Yet Bill B is about to go to the playoffs with Mac freaking Jones and I have to sit here and listen to how Brady is the best QB of all time.

It’s not my fault I can separate QB play from team play.

Teams win SB’s, if not Peyton and Aaron would have more rings than Tom. Marino may have more than anyone alive.

😀 I'm just trying to protect the kid from himself.

Peg'sville is an important part of our community.

AFC east looking a bit stronger

Pat's 6 straight wins
Fin's 4 straight wins.

Gotta think the Bill's split the home and home vs. New England right?

glad to hear it

the few clips I heard was good, sounded like his voice was better

- homiedclown

He was flat in a few spots, but it takes a lot of work to sing "properly", so he obviously doesn't have the power anymore, but other than that, he was great, the band was inspired and on point and given the amount of time they played (two hours), it was a good mix of songs. So glad I was there to help send them off properly. 😭

Montana, Staubach, Unitas and Bradshaw probably disagree

Marino was the best passer in a passing era but those guys were just as good of qb's as Marino

I wanted the pats to win

makes our path for home field easier

the pats do not scare me if we play our game and I expect 2 wins

and even if we split, we win tiebreaker vs pats as they lost to miami

I like you peg'sville. Fellow Italian. 👊

How can you really argue about dan marino when you didnt see him play?

With other posters who watched much of his career.

Winning championships makes you the best qb ever.
Aside from having every meaningful statistical record clinched.

Some teams have won with good defense, good coaching, good running systems and an average qb.

It happens. It's happened. It's less likely to happen vs. Winning with elite qb play

I would take 3 2C’s than have another 1C Eichel on this team. People saying to tank for our 1C in this years draft guess have not watched the last 10 years of sabre games.

I for one dont want to be in the record books for longest playoff drought. That record will never be beaten.

Fans aren't asking for much. A little better than Aaron Dell. That's it. Just a .900 sv% would be

the bears d was unreal but the team they played, the pats had brutal qb play (pats thumped marino in afc title game)

marino was on top of his game, yet lost to montana in his only super bowl by a lot

marino couldn't beat kelly in the playoffs

and lost his last game to the jags 62-7

he was a really good qb in a passing era, but not the best of all time

I appreciate this point of view.

But, just because eichel didn't work out, doesn't mean the next 1C isnt going lead us to the promise land.

It's hard to win without a #1C. I'm sure peg'sville will disagree.

1C's need to run the ball and stop the run. Not pass ☝️
