I'll be honest, I am pleasantly surprised. The reason I stan him is because of what he accomplished to become a someone from, really, a no one. I believed in his ability to grow, albeit slowly to start, but his abilities none the less. You're all seeing the fruits of that patience and labor. He probably or might need more time to get himself into an NHL version of what he's doing today, and that's fine. Let him destroy the AHL this year.

Edit: When I say pleasantly surprised, I mean he's exceeding my personal expectations for this year. I knew he'd develop but this is really impressive.

he needs to go through waivers to play for rochester again. Sabres have room for 1 player. I think Jank is here partially because of the loss of Drake, while also letting R2 work on his game. With Mitts coming back this week I guess, do they put Wolanen on waivers? It's a pretty easy solution.

Future is bright for the Sabres, and that's something that hasn't really been for a long time. Relying on Jack and Sam to drag a team clearly didn't work and there was nothing waiting when it failed. Do it the right way, get who we get in the draft, and a build a team. Team concept where everyone is pulling in the same direction has done wonders on the watchability (word?) this year, and is excellent to see prospects at all levels playing well. Some will drop off, others will exceed. Just need to keep the waves coming in, and when it's time to take the next step we'll all see it.
