Were your eyes open?

How do you explain that Provorov had to reach out with one hand just to deflect the puck? It was an awful pass on a routine play

Freeze the replay at :06

Just my opinion. No need to attack me personally. 😉 It looked like a pretty soft pass to me. I think Provorov was moving slower than RR expected. I think Provy was tired and could have put a little more effort into getting hold of it after it got by him. Really not worth discussing much more to me. It was just one play. This team stinks

If the coaches are not fired in the morning, then sack Fletcher.
Time to make a trade…. Does Kevin Hayes have any more friends in the league?? The culture change is working out great. I hope their having fun in the locker room!

The pass wasn't hard but it was too far ahead of Provorov. He had to reach just to deflect it. That is easily seen by freezing the replay at :06. In trying to catch up to the puck, Provorov's momentum took him out a few strides which made it tough to get back into the play.

Fletcher has no idea how to build a team. He just gets pieces that don’t fit together. Last off season, he needed 2 top 4 D men. So he got a mediocre Risto and a past prime Ellis who can’t stay healthy.

Last year Girard had an awful series against VGK. There was speculation that Girard would be part of an Eichel deal. Now the Avs have a better, younger and now healthy LD in Byram making Girard expendable. Girard is a highly talented 23 yr old D man that the Flyers should have targeted before Risto and Ellis. When Girard is in his prime the Flyers may have been ready to contend. The Avs need depth scoring but it’s hard to see the Avs seeing a match here now. Maybe they’re close to realizing Fletcher needs to go. Maybe they’re thinking Scott Mellanby.

AV didn't trust him enough, and no pressure from fans or press in Arizona. I bet they do not even have a beatwriter

Girard can play the right side? Was Girard available in the off season?

Captain Claude -4 1 shot 😂 😂 😂 😂
- Fopa21

Giroux has been on ice for 45% of Flyers goals for this season...

that is a higher percentage than he has ever had.
and also a higher percentage than guys like Crosby and McDavid have over their primes.

Does Chuck get fired if they don't make the playoffs?
If you think the answer is yes, he should be firing the coach soon.

Flyers don't play again until Wednesday. If they want to salvage whatever they think they can this season, make the change now and sack AV and Therrien.
- Pelle31Forever

100% this....pull the plug now. AV and his pal Therrien are killing this club. AV is making no adjustments, and is allowing Therrien to run the same offense he did with the Habs. The big criticism in Montreal was Therrien failed to implement any focus on offensive-zone pressure and puck possession, and preferred players generate shots from the peripheral and crease for tips and rebounds (all this should sound pretty familiar). Not to mention many players just felt lost, and had no defined roles under Therrien. Combine this with AV's faults and it's a recipe for disaster. It certainly helps to explain the fast track to disaster. Practice won't fix this. They need to be let go asap.

I'm guessing a lot here but I think there was a study done that like 98% of the playoff spots are determined by around Thanksgiving. Flyers have won 7 out of 20 games in regulation.
- MJL

I'm familiar with that, but it's not an impossible task and the season started a little later this year for whatever that is worth. They need to go on a decent run but I don't see it happening. I hate myself for saying this but I would go to Torts.

The team sucks so of course his percentage is high McDavid would be at 80-90% if he wad on this team. I forgot tho it’s never Giroux’s fault 😂

Girard primarily plays LD but he has played his off side as well.

This team plays AV's systems, not Therrien's. They run the same forecheck scheme and overload systems that AV used in NY.

I'd like them to find the next Rod Brind'Amour or Jon Cooper. Whoever that might be.

There was some talk that after that disastrous PO series that he would be available with the emergence of Byrum.
