Our PP D are pathetic, seen Sanheim whiff on a couple shots , Provy just doesn’t cut it. We got nothing

Sanheim wiffs again
- Dkos

I’m not really a fan of Sanheim, Farabee and Konency’s overall games. Farabee has been scoring lately and has a couple of nice blocked shots this game but his overall game needs work.

You said you wouldn't pay him more than 6 mil a year for 5. Question is, why would you give him that much? Provy makes 6.75. Ellis makes a little less. Parayko makes less than 6.

He'll be a RH top 4 UFA defenseman. Parayko makes 6.5M starting next season.

It's the first time you actually gave him blame when it was deserved. I'm not absolving him. I'm just saying how screwed up their systems play is.
- MJL

ya, well that play was really hard to defend. Tonight Risto has not played well. He was on the ice for both goals and he just had another bad turnover where Jones bailed him out. He was on the ice for 4 goals last game also, so he is fighting it right now. But I agree with you, its the entire defensive system that is in disarray currently.

as much as I like and defend Risto, I wouldn't pay him more that this as a 2nd pairing defenseman. If he wants higher than this, which is his right, I would look elsewhere to fill this spot for the right price.
- jd250

That’s where I see him being slotted …but we’ll see as things progress.

Sanheim swing and a miss. What a slug.
- PLindbergh31
Big time Hexy pick...Jackson let us know he's taking over the minutes played lead from Provorov. That along with hits leadership is the way they avoid discussing any real stats

Jones is giving them a chance. They look like dog poop.

Another game scoring 3 or less. Absolutely pathetic. What’s that 14 in a row? How much longer can they allow this horsepoop to go on?

I would rather have Colton P but I think Risto compares pretty well to him, and thus would ask for at least his contract next year. I would not want want to pay him that much to be honest. I think there may be better options for this team and maybe a better price. Its up to CF to know the market and see what options are available. Then again, CF traded for Risto so might be compelled to resign him no matter what, and may even compete against himself in the negotiations.

That was the player the Flyers should've targeted. Maybe they did, who knows.

there is so little chemistry on this team, its really amazing. And this year they can't point the finger at AV and says its his fault because he is changing the lines all the time!

Risto has his head up and is passing the puck when pressured more than any other D. Provy and sanheim doing it now and again. The rest, just get the puck and send it. Frost is creating some, whoever gets the pucks shxtsss the bed. Zero team confidence. Do the Flyers ever down low hit the center on the breakout, it’s all chip boards and go.

That was one of their better second periods played this season... Only giving up one goal. And the Flyers will be going on a PEEEEECOOO penalty kill to start the third!

I am curious why you think he would get way, way more than say, Brandon Carlo. That is the only comparable I could think of: similar position, height, RHD, 2nd pairing, same age I believe.

Carlo signed for 6 years at 24+

I would be surprised if they seriously kicked the tires given their cap situation and the holes they had to fill.

You didn't realize that when they first traded for him? Fletcher boxed himself in. I hope you're paying attention to Dougie Hamilton and seeing what a defenseman who is really one of the best in the NHL looks like.

They had the cap space. If they didn't, then they're negligent.
