I realize most here like to laugh at Treliving and the Flames, but at least he gets rid of the coach once he realizes the team isn't performing up to par.
Treliving started at the same time as Benning, but has gone through 5 coaches, compared to Benning's 2.
Benning doesn't mind getting rid of his players that don't seem to work out, but he waits way to long to rid the team of piss-poor coaches, which is a bad sign of bad management.

Canucks should be able to go 14-4-2 over the next 20 games.
Chicago W
Penguins OTL
Blue Jackets W
Bruins OTL

I know you were just having some fun when you put this together, but it’s pretty fun posting it game after game

Now that they’re 0-4-0 they can still technically go 14-0-2

So you are saying firing coaches produces mediocre results 20% of the time

The vultures are circling. Over Half the league had their GMs/aGM/Head scout in attendance.

Apparently everyone’s been told that Horvat/Boeser/Miller are available. So.... that’s great.. Benning gets to keep his job but the on ice product changes first. And Green is left in 5-10 games late?

According to this article, there were 11 teams, 12 if you count the Bruins, with scouts in attendance, but it also states, it is more likely that change to the front office is coming first.

Ahhhh okay, I had heard it was 17 in total including the bruins and scouts. Some thought was that it was because DeBrusk is available, But he wasn’t playing last night.

I’d think the Canucks have 5 untouchables Petey, Hughes, Demko, Podz and Hoglander. The rest of the league has probably been notified and those interested showed ip last night.

Rick Dhaliwal of CHEK and The Athletic reported that Vancouver is fielding plenty of trade calls but at this time, the bulk of those calls have been focused on one player – Bo Horvat.

I don't think anyone should be considered untouchable.

Just thought I would point out some pretty good players from last year draft, that the Canucks missed out on, whether it was because of Benning/Acquillini taking more shortcuts(picks were traded), as a result didn't have a pick, lack of creativity(trading down etc.)they were reaching for a high risk player, or just incompetency/not aware of team needs.

A lot of these players are defensemen, centres or big strong wingers.

Guenther, Sillinger, Othmann, Bolduc, Johnston, Ceulemans, Lambos, L'Heureux, Allan, Chayka, Pinelli, Roger, Raty, Iorio, Nause, Helenius, Dach, Winterton, Svozil, Korczak, Harrison, Bankier, Whynot, Schmidt, Richard, Del Mastro, Boyko, Matier, Bar and of course, they missed out on drafting Robert(Bobby) Orr.

I am sure I missed a few decent players, but I am sure most of you get the point.

There are certain players who it'd have to be a vast over-payment for (relative to their actual worth) to consider moving. My list would be Petey, Hughes, Pod, Hog, Demko, Rathbone, and Horvat (if he's willing to sign an extension)... Boeser is on the edge of that group.

It's kind of funny how in those 7 years 1 of those teams made the SCF, 1 made it to game 7 of the 3rd round, and the Canucks won 10 playoff games in the bubble

I totally get that some fans don't want a full cleansing and have some favorites, but I just don't see most of this group being a big part of a team that can compete for a cup. I have said for sometime now that it is a bad mix of players, that is not helped by poor coaching and bad management.

Saying that Pouty & Huggy are untouchables is retarded. They would be the first 2 I'd trade.

Brad Marchand today. The Boston Bruins forward will have a hearing today for slew-footing Vancouver Canucks defenseman Oliver-Ekman Larsson.

The incident occurred partway through the first period of last night’s game and Marchand did not receive a penalty on the play. Ekman-Larsson also did not suffer a serious injury, going on to play more than 24 minutes in the game.

At that point, he realized he was going to get to do what he wanted during the game.

Yep, as everyone knows the best thing to do with underperforming star players is to trade them while their value is lowest Holy (frank)

Maybe some fans could get the guy they always wanted, Cody Glass. He's got 14 points in 16 games in the AHL.

Yup, as everyone knows, it is best to hang onto a player/s until they have zero value, especially when the league has figured out how you play.
