Even better than Jason Blake?

I'll raise you with Newsy Lalonde and his 125 goals in 99 games

"A forward with the Montreal Canadiens, Edouard Cyrille "Newsy" Lalonde had a starring role in many of their and the NHL's early significant moments.

Known for his snap shot and playing with a physical edge that belied his 5-foot-9, 168-pound frame, Lalonde played in the first game in the Canadiens' history, scored their first goal in the newly formed National Hockey Association (NHA) in 1909-10, and helped them win the Stanley Cup for the first time in 1916. Lalonde also played and had two points (one goal, one assist) in the first NHL game, helping the Canadiens defeat the Ottawa Senators 7-4 on Dec. 19, 1917."

Stats from eras where goalies wore 12" x 6" foam pads and the players regularly drank a mickey of rye between periods don't count

Disagree with you on that Zezel - respectfully of course. Mike Bossy scored 573 goals in only 752 games during his 10 year career. That an amazing .762 goals per game, easily the best for the top goal scorers of all time. He had nothing left to prove after winning four cups in that 10 year career and was a goal scoring machine.

Mario wasn't too shabby either with his 690 in 915 = .754

Agreed, especially considering overcoming cancer and treatment and other injuries.

Believe it or not Marner is 6' tall. He does fall down quite a bit, but man he is hard on that puck despite his flimsiness

Willie for all the abuse he's taken on this blog has been pretty good for some time. Man that goal to open the scoring was something.

People just didn't know what kinda player he was - always was a primadonna with elite skating. Just like Patty Kane, he could play until he's 45 - no hitting and no blocked shots... Trading Willie was always laughable imo.

And this summer he learned back checking and shooting the puck.

What's next - boxing lessons next summer??

Interesting. I wasn't aware his goals per game were that high.

If I recall correctly Craig Simpson has some absurdly high shooting percentage also, speaking of goal scorers. Not saying he's in the convo for great goal scorers, but he had a great shooting percentage anyway. And now he's a fantastic play-by-play man, so there you go.

There's a lot to be said for longevity. Bossy definitely is one of the greats, probably top 5, but goals per game is a bit of a biased stat IMO. Projections are nice in theory but to go out and actually do it is a whole other thing. OV consistently led the league for as long as he's been around and is still doing it at his age. To me, he's the best of all time.

Maybe if he did play-by-play he'd be good at it, because he's a (frank)ing horrendous colour commentator.

OV is fantastic and among the greatest goal scorers of all time. I don't discount great players who either by choice - like Dryden, or due to injuries like Orr and Bossy had shorter but still very successful careers. You cannot discount or ignore their acheivements. Bossy was the pure sniper of a team that won 4 straight cups. Dryden won six cups in a nine year career, a conn smyth and a Calder, I would say he rates as one of the all time greatest goalies without question.

I got Pfizer the first two go arounds. The first one did nothing, but for the second one, I got some chills and didn’t feel great for about 6 hours, 28 hours after the dose (if that makes sense). I got into bed to warm up because I was cold and wound up falling asleep for 2 hours. I had a 2pm meeting and luckily woke up at 1:56 overall it wasn’t too bad

But I was fine by 6-7pm that night.

I switched to Moderna this time and have felt like Richard all day. I slept from 10pm last night until 9am, which I never do, and then went back to bed at noon and slept until 5pm. I’m just hoping I can get to sleep at a somewhat normal time tonight.
