Can’t really complain like I used to about hextall. There were clear and easy paths to keep either McCann or Tanev but I’m hoping the sale of the team had something to do with it. If he can get Zucker out of here he would be a miracle worker.

Don't know why you hate Zucker so much. He throws checks. Works hard along the boards. Blocks shots. Teammates love him. Obviously he doesn't score at the pace we all would like, but he's hardly a shrinking violet as a hockey player.

Because everyone pretended like Tanev had a bad contract when Zucker was wussy footing around making 6 million.

Brian Boyle lays nice hit. Simon takes a 4 minute minor right after.

I loved Tanev. Never really saw a lack of effort from Zucker although his contract does suck. Mostly the lack of fit or chemistry with Malkin. I blame Sullivan for continually trying to force the fit.

I didn’t say he lacked effort. He lacks results per capita.

My God, man.Tanev is your dead horse. He's gone. He's not a Penguin anymore, it's over.

Kap is ok, thankfully. Don't wanna lose him and Rust at same time...

Can’t believe no one stood up for Kap on that play.

Crosby and Letang weren’t on this ice, no one else where’s the pants for the team. Boyle I guess.

He played great with Sid when he got here. Both Malkin and Zucker had bad injuries last year.....I'm throwing that out.

So far this year, he's been quite good. Probably deserves a few more goals with a little luck. Dude is hitting more pipes than Hunter Biden.

Let me get this straight, you hate Zucker because people complained about Tanev's contract?

I thought the vast majority wanted him gone in the off-season and he was the sole reason for the struggles the last couple playoffs??
- TurdFergeson

I love when people think they have a "gotcha" moment. What does me saying regarding his play THIS season have anything to do with LAST season?

You're really putting effort in to figuring out Grinder's logic?

I just mentioned this on the Sens board (because they're talking about the Murray mistake), but they canned Mike Bales who helped them win two cups in a row for Murray's hand picked guy from WB (mike buckly). Jarry's play mysteriously declined under him too. Maybe he did suck. I though Rutherford was out of his mind when they dumped Bales. Why would you do that?
- madmike71

Yea, I was one of the people in 2017 that said we should dump Murray and hold MAF... not because I thought MAF would become a Veinza goalie or because Murray would fall apart... I just thought MAF's time table lined up with the rest of the Penguins core and you knew someone would've paid a lot for a 2 time winning goalie in his rookie year. The fall of Murray's play was bound to happen, but not this fast or to this extent. You cant even blame Ottawa's team... he was horrible in his last year or two with us as well.

I guess Murray's problem is more mental. I dont know enough about the position to know if its as simple as Buckley teaching Jarry/Murray something different than what Bales did. But yea, super weird how a goaltending coach took over with 2 top goalies and years later both of them have fallen apart mentality.

ERod out there looking like he's been a top 6 player his entire career. I love the confidence in his game right now.

I think their fast start is all about the team playing for their fallen teammate. I don't know that they can sustain that all season, but then again Vegas rallied together after the shooting all the way to the finals their first season.
