This has been a poorly officiated game. From the offside that wasn't offside, the "high stick" on Ritchie when the guy was holding his stick, and the completely ignored puck over the glass by 4 officials.

Nobody said it negates anything. You completely wrote your own narrative there. What's being said is that he's not the worst player in hockey history despite your endless attempts to proclaim him as much, he hasn't even been the worst defenceman on this team at times.

At no point in time has he outplayed anyone on this roster. At least in the past two seasons, he started them well, before completely falling off a cliff. This year he started at the bottom of the cliff and he brought a shovel.

Maybe… I still think they’re just playing it safe with a guy with that injury history.

I doubt you’ll see much change to the team this season tbh… already had a bunch of new guys from free agency.. 4 new guys plus a defence pairing made of rookies and a new goalie too…. We’ll see tho I guess

And that's exactly where the take becomes irrational. Muzzin was arguably even worse than him at the beginning of the year. Dermott has been worse at times... To say he's been by far the worst defenceman on this team for every single minute of every game the last two full seasons is incredibly overdramatic, and like I said... I'm not even a huge Holl supporter at all.

Holl has a turnover differential of - 5 to Muzzins - 25 ffs. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Not by the guys on the ice, because that will 'cause two problems. The first is that the complaint that everyone talks about, it'll slow things down too much. And the other is that the idiots on the ice will be less likely to overturn their own calls, if it's debatable.

I've always been of the opinion; get the calls right.
