3-1-1 in our next 5 and we'll have matched last years record at the "1/3 of the Way Pole". Given that we played in the ECHL division last year that's pretty good, right? - The Law
The logic around the divisions is my fave. I contend that last year, all the divisions had some good teams and some garbage teams and there wasn't really significant separation. The Leafs had the points they did because they were legit a top team.
So this year, when I point out that four of the Canadian teams are doing quite well in the league at large and three are garbage, the response is oh, that's because those four teams improved a lot since last year. People just can't admit that maybe the division narrative was flimsy.
Of course, when the Leafs got 100 points in the Atlantic division in the seasons before the pandemic, it must have been weak too lol
I recall Calgary, Winnipeg and Edmonton all being decent before the North Division as well....

They're playing so well right now. So good.
The puck is finally going in like we knew it would.

The big question is what to add: a defenceman with some bite/snarl, or another LW option? - fifty__missions
If they’re trading now it’s just for a pick. They run out of cap room when Mrazek comes back. They probably saved some but won’t have much flexibility. Make a bigger move late in season
I'm sad that less of the HB community have been stopping by to discuss hockey lately. Maybe they're just saving up all the good hockey talk so they can comfort us during a losing streak. - Zezel

Leafs good GA last year - North Division - Canada Cup
Yeah, I don't think the Canadian teams have any good scoring talent that I can think of, do they? Plus they all play firewagon hockey with no defense. So with no defense and no offense in the whole division it's pretty easy to get points.

Good morning my guitar-playing Hockeybuzz friends.
Last year I asked you what I should get my daughter for Christmas, and you boyz made me the absolute franking hero by recommending the bluetooth thingy so she can play directly to headphones.
No, seriously, she loves it.
So I am once again asking for suggestions for guitar-related gifts for a teenager.
