Right?! JT! That sequence against the Kings where he battled behind the net to set up AM for the goal, and then on the next play drew a penalty doing the same thing was great to see. He can grind when he's playing well. He's not gonna crush guys but he can grind. He's setting up guys and going to the net.

I so want to see the one-two punch of JT/Willy and MM/AM fully firing at the same time where it becomes an impossible matchup nightmare.

I was fortunate to see Kraftwerk when Florian Schneider (RIP) was still in the band and it was an awesome, and very clinical, experience. Definitely one of the most influential music acts of all-time. I'm a massive synthpop/EBM/darkwave/chillwave guy and those genres (amongst many others) owe a massive debt to Kraftwerk.

On another nerd topic, I've been investigating manga and modern comics. I was a big comic guy back in the day and I'm getting back into it. Some of the stuff out there looks amazing!

I have to decided to read the entirety of Lone Wolf and Cub. And I also see where somehow, Image Comics of all people seem to be putting out some very mature, graphic novel type stuff. I just remember them being pretty dumb superhero poop with great artists who couldn't write. Things have changed. I have a list of stuff I want to read now. I'm stoked.

I actually loved Simmonds comments after the game where he said we're not playing perfect hockey right now by any means and he acknowledged that they got sloppy and forced Woll to bail them out late in the third. If they have the mindset that they expect to win but it doesn't mean anything until the playoffs that's great.

leafs plays Sunday against the Ducks then Wed against the Avs. The worst they can do in the month of November is lose 3 games.

I think they'll be pretty close to being able to keep a 7th D and a 13th F around by the time Mikky's ready to come back?

I think that probably makes it an easy decision (subject to more injuries). Mikky's dealt OR somebody else of equal or greater salary.

So the rumours of them dangling Dermott make some sense. Probably shopping Mikky and Dermott to see what kind of offers are out there so they can move one of those contracts.
