Quinn too
I am not counting on a top 5 pick this year - Stripes77
Idk how i forgot Quinn, my bad
We aren’t a good team
We’ll be picking top10 for sure
I think top5 is a solid bet as well
And maybe a little lotto luck- who knows?? |

The Columbus game was a BRUTAL display of goaltending
So was the Rangers and Leafs game
The Sabres scored 4 goals and lost in each one of those games - Stripes77
Tokawski was nervous early today. Fighting the puck.
Made a save like he was wearing Mylec street hockey pads at milsher floor hockey.
I agree though, better goaltending, more points in the standings.
Again though, that decision was made in july. When quality goalies were available |

I would love to see this team with a real NHL goalie tandem
Bishop and a healthy Anderson (this season)
with a healthy Mitts and Tuch
I just can't stand seeing Dell flop around anymore

He looks like he is fighting the puck 90% of the time

The race for the 8th pick. No thank you.
I'll take what we're getting, games are fun, kids developing.
72 -75 points. Basically the current pace

I sat in the clubs, goal line. It was ugly early.
I'll give him credit , he fought thru it.
The skimmer turnover could have broke him.
He stood tall ( figuratively) 😀 |

This is different in my opinion than the race for the 9th seed.
They have a full line of kids that are tearing it up in the AHL and ready to be in the show next year.
Throw in Power and probably Samuelson and then a healthy Mitts and Tuch, it just feels different than a team full of aging vets trying to get in the playoffs.
The Sabres goal differential is -9, everyone below them in the standings is at least -20...this tells me the team can score they just need some saves. |

I appreciate your prospective and agree that they could be much better with consistent goaltending.
Nobody likes losing, but Sabres need 1 more top pick.
We've all heard this before, but we need another center prospect... IMO. - sounds like a good draft...
They have faced plenty of backups, and the points will become for difficult late in the season. Especially when they mix in the Rochester kids.
They have a plan in place, I doubt anything changes. |

We will get a top pick. Don’t let a win vs the dumpster fire that is the Habs distract from that fact |

I think they finish anywhere between 18th-25th this year and draft around 10

It’s nice to be on this side of the no heart games, but we will still pick 2-6. It’s been much, MUCH more enjoyable hockey to watch this year though. |

18-25th picking 10th is probably. 500 hockey.
I'm seeing 75ish points.
7 games under fake .500
Goaltending being the reason ☝️

For sure.
Tage skimmer and olo really click.
Tages backcheck, stick lift , long reach kept the puck in, then the other guys knew what to do....
Get the puck to the big guy.
Tage shoots from everywhere
Skimmer shoots from everywhere
The pp non 5 x 5 specialist was feeding the puck. |

Ice the best team Possible. Finish where you do and find the best player to draft.
Every other team does it, so can Buffalo. |

Sure, dream world.
The other teams that "do that" have top 1OA picks.
Quinn is exactly that, and how many tears have been shed over that pick...
Picking early allows a team to pick the player they want, guys not available later in the draft.

Well sure, Of course that would help
But even then….
It would still be one of the weaker tandems in the league
And we’d still have less talented skaters (as a group) probably 9/10 games- if not more
Our hot start was fun to watch,
but it wasn’t gonna last imo
We just aren’t there yet
I do like the direction we are headed though
Playing like a “team” for the most part
And a lot more young talent coming next year & beyond
