I can live with it if he can limit the mistakes. I find he has Gardiner brain at times.

I'm really liking Bunting with Marner/Matthews. Maybe that's the right combo for Mitchy to go hard.

That line is looking real good… I understood moving Bunting since he wasn’t producing much point wise at all (like 3P in 10 games) but that was with Nylander and not Marner. Maybe this is the right mix? Like it so far

Bunting is way more aggressive going after the puck.

Yup, and hot damn if he becomes an assist genius now and turns Marner into a scorer

And a shutout for Woll!!!

If he’s this reliable moving forward dump Mrazek as quick as possible

Great effort and result. Nice to see Marner get a pair and Kase get one plus the shut out by Woll.

Someone else said it but Bunting sure looked good with M&M tonight.

Real happy for Woll. Great story and the guys were obviously super stoked he got the shutout.

Still hoping AM34 can get his sights adjusted on his twig soon…

Whelp, it's been an additional 3 games in which you said a lot could happen. You were correct.

Leafs got the 4th shut out of the year with a rookie goalie
Leafs have a top PK
Leafs depth scored a bit
Leafs won 2 out of the 3 games

As I said that night, they are a true contender by the metrics. Yes, they still need to show up and not underperform in the playoffs but it doesn't make this team a non-contender.

Road shutout in Woll's second game, bouncing back right away from the loss to the Pens...solid quality outing from the Maple Leafs.

He shouldn’t be going to the net and scoring goals: he’s a playmaker.

Stay in your lane, Marner!!

I'll admit... Very wrong about giving him a second start.

That being said, (frank) is it ever great to see a leafs team giving their goaltenders a chance to do well. After years of expecting goalies to bail them out every night... This is weird and tough to believe is a real thing.

Probably happy hutch wasn’t in net.

I saw a marlies tweet the other day. Marlies coughed up a 5-1 lead to lose 6-5. Kalgren(so) left the game at 5-1. Hutch let in the rest.

Can’t have hutch play another nhl game.

That's fascinating to me how 4 of the top 10 teams overall are currently former members of the weak North division. Huh. Funny innit?
