Lindgren definitely plays a game that's close to the borderline. Not as bad as Gudas however... - JohnScammo

Do we really have to wait till the Leafs don’t make it out of the first round again till he disappears? |

Bringing one or two up to play w nhl players is one thing. Calling half the AHL roster up that struggles with other AHL teams is pushing it I think 😂 |

For sure however it is a chance for individual players to get noticed and prove they can play in this league. I think Salo is showing that he may belong if he keeps up his good play. I think you can see if a player is playing confident/comfortable.
Shame they are having to play under the current shatty situation but go out there and make the best of it. As Barry said, show me. No matter how shatty, it is an opportunity. |

I hear ya and agree. Take the opportunity and show you belong. No doubt Salo has been a bright spot for sure. |

Salo should be giving one of Greene or Chara a rest on a consistent basis if this lineup ever returns to normal again imo. |

I would think his audition will last until Pulock gets back. And then hopefully he will have made it very hard, if not impossible, to send him back. |

Yes, he’s proving he belongs. At least so far anyway. Really need some of the vets to step it up. In my mind Palms and Parise have been bad. I realize Parise has been working but come on, finish!! Barzal and Beau need to step up their games too. Especially Barzal - he needs to take over and put up some points. Identify line hasn’t been too nor has JGP. Can’t win with these guys all faltering. |

He’s a lefty so Pulock returning shouldnt effect his playing time. |

He has the skills and more importantly vision to play the game. He looks like he’ll be a legit top 4 or who knows more some day. As for the rest of the regulars still in the lineup they’ve all been pretty much disappointing. None of them have rose to the occasion. Barzal has been a disaster. |

If he keeps playing the way he has he should be at the very least an extra who gets semi regular playing time imo. He brings something we’re missing and with a full lineup he would most likely be even more effective. Hopefully he keeps it up. |

I agree with all except Parise, yes he hasn’t finished but man he has been busting his ass on the forecheck and has play both ends very well without turning over the puck like the rest of the team. Again, he isn’t finishing but if the others would be playing like him I think they would have better results.
I hope they get out of this funk, stop feeling sorry for themselves and start playing Islanders hockey. If they do that and lose due to the obvious AHL talent we need to play then so be it. But bust your ass and play smart. |
