Confidence is a fleeting thing.
When you guys are on your run last year it looked like every guy knew their role and believed if they performed the team could win.
Right now lots of your guys are fighting it, but they are too good with too long a track record to not get it back.
I remember when Gretzky was playing in Toronto one night and scored a goal when he hadn't scored in 4 games. He talked about it being good for getting his confidence back. At the time he had about 600 career goals but it was still an issue.
The Leafs were playing just as poorly as the Habs until Campbell completely stole a game against Tampa.
If Price can come back and play well and steal a win this could turn around.

I don't want this to turn around. The last thing I want is Price coming back and saving their collective asses. It's too late now.
Just fire them all, bring the new guy as fast as possible so he can assess what he has and take the decisions accordingly.

I don't care if finding the new guy takes time if they find the right guy. Hiring/firing just to do so helps nothing, it just provides a scalp for angry fans. Just do it right and find the guy who you truly believe can do this for the next 10-15 years effectively.

How about we give credit to Ducharme for making it to the SCF while also making him take part of the blame for what is currently happening?
Choosing only one of the two makes no sense.
Yes yes, I know I'm late responding to a blog written yesterday. - Scabeh
He coached them last year. They went on a great run and made the Cup finals. The amount of credit you want to give coaching is subjective but he certainly deserves some credit for it.
He coaches them now. They're terrible. The amount of blame you want to give coaching is subjective but he certainly deserves some blame for it.
Could just as easily say the same for MB. My subjective opinion blames MB more than DD and also credits MB more for last year than DD.
So Ducharme has no impact when we win but has one when we lose? - Scabeh
it's very hard to determine who most of the blame should be put on right now, since we don't really have any knowledge of what's going on internally, and god knows with this organization that the truth rarely surfaces by itself.
that being said the contrast between this season and last year's playoffs is pretty intense, and something has to happen at some point, unless MB and Molson are literally going to hide from the fans and media until the season is over lol

Bergevin did pop in what... 6-7 games ago?
Molson is completely MIA. I know no rumours of the team being sold have been confirmed but it's possible he's avoiding the media so they don't even get the chance to ask him a question about it.

oh, right, it was so meaningless I forgot about it...
