The difference is tonight, this team didn’t even try, that’s a team that doesn’t care or give a .... about what its coach is saying. For the firs time, it looked like Ducharme has completely lost the room, that’s the difference

Habs remind me of the 2016-2017 sens when they were 1 goal from the finals, then next year, Dorion made a huge trade for Duchene and its was all fools gold that run, last year was all a fool gold run for the habs, lucky for YOU, Bergevin did not do a trade like that and if MTL wants to truly rebuild, you have soo soo many good forwards you can trade for nice returns, Suzuki, Caufield, Romanov are young enough to be part of the rebuild, you need exceptional drafting and luck to keep a team going for decades at a high pace, Habs have atrocious drafting and player development.

2x 3rd OA centers were ruined by habs crapy player development, Both KK and Galchenyuk should have played 1-2 years or more in the minors before getting full time on the team but they both were rushed and played immediately on the team....

Also this idiotic internal rule that the coach and GM much speak french eliminates like over 90% of coaches and GMs in the league...

It seems like the only time Fred is opposed to his peepee being touched

I never said I was opposed to it. Just not for my hockey club

I like what I saw from Norlinder last night, despite the outcome of the game.

He's a smooth skater, with no panic in his game for a young guy playing his first NHL game. He also looked better than I thought in his own zone. I still think he goes back to Frolunda in a few days though.

Maybe a little peepee touching (between consenting adults without a coach/power dynamic and all that - (frank) 2021 is hard to make jokes) would be the stress relief this team needs.

I agree. The game and stage didn't seem too big for him at all. Also, despite the -3 I thought Caufield looked confident and had some jump

I don’t know the Habs contract situations that well if at all…

Are there moveable contracts attached to attractive players that will garner some picks and perhaps younger players ???

If going for the dreaded rebuild you have to hit on picks … I have to think those are more valuable to Habs than players at this time no ?

I have noticed a direct inverse performance curve for Carey Price since he met Angela he got all those kids.

He was lights out back in the club opera days smoking 3 cigarettes at the same time doing peepee touch with puck bunnies in the bathrooms

You're talking about a management team that thought this squad was good enough to compete this year if they traded a 1st and 2nd for Christian "I'm good at faceoffs and essentially nothing else" Dvorak. So...there's that

Ben Chiarot, Arturri Lehkonen, Brett Kulak, Sami Niku, Samuel Montembeault, Cedric Paquette, Mathieu Perreault, Michael Pezzetta and Chris Wideman are the guys without contracts for next season.

Chiarot is probably the only guy who could fetch something at the deadline.

Let's not make this another Angela thread...with Price I'm starting to think the team needs to look at the next few years soberly and speak with Price and his agent to facilitate a trade with retained salary, likely this offseason. That's how bad it's become.

Suzuki is being asked to be way more than he is at this point and he's clearly in over his head trying to do it all. Going to be a lot of ups and downs. Better wingers, d men and goaltending wouldn't hurt in supporting him but he's largely on his own most nights - the vets have all but (frank)ed off

I really think the guy was hoping to get picked up by Seattle.

He must be ecstatic preparing his return to this poop show.

I'm never going to knock on him. I know some people are with the contract extension he signed.

I'm just saying he's alone out there at center and at his age he's going to have off-nights and when he does the team result is not pretty.
