This is the first loss where I'm not mad. I've been more upset about some of their wins this season.

Might of been the best defensive game they’ve played. Overall not a bad game. Would of like to see a bit more out of the top six. Like how the third line played.

This is me nitpicking here but I wonder what the stats are for how effective taking a timeout in the last minute of a game you’re down in is.

Prob a wash.

I thought Lafreniere looked good tonight. He wrecked that guy towards the end.

I’m still mad about a few non calls towards the end

It goes both ways. I'm not too upset over this one. They have some breathing room due to all those wins they stole.

I thought Muzzin could have been called for 2-3 trips in the last 10 min.

I think it went more one way than the other, especially considering how much we had the puck in their zone. I get letting them play, like not penalizing strome or bunting for their dust up. But there were 2 blatant non calls in my humble opinion

I took my share of abuse. But, no one knew what to make of my Fotiu jersey!
We just didn't get enough sustained pressure in the offensive zone. Other than that and the 80/20 face off stat , it was a good, hard fought game.

At least it was a tight, entertaining game that could have gone either way. Hope you had a good time and not too razzed by your hometown fans.

Really great , entertaining game. Sucks to lose, but can't hang our heads for this one. Got great effort from the entire lineup, just can't win them all.

Gauthier and Miller really stood out tonite in a positive way. Micheletti stated that he thought this was Miller's best game as a Ranger and he might be right.

Just HAVE to improve on faceoffs --- that was the only clear advantage Toronto had on us...

Can’t complain about the effort. Rangers passed up some opportunities to get the puck on net and hope for a rebound. This could’ve been a 1-1 game into overtime but that goal from the point was just perfectly lined up for a screen… can’t fault shest on any of the goals.

Good effort and they were in it against a better team. Faceoffs still and issue. Goodrow off the top line has to happen along with a trade for some offensive help or call someone up

I am only willing to concede this for the very NOW. Rangers are on the come.

Nick Ritchie has just 2 assists in 18 games so far. Played on the first line to start the year and has been bounced around to the 4th line. Rangers dodged a bullet there

Totally agree! They can play with anyone when they all buy in. Toronto is a good regular season team but in the playoffs IF they make it not so much!

Rangers missed out on a stat yesterday. Had they won- statistically they would have had a 92% chance of making the playoffs. (had to do with number of points through 17 games) -- Oh well

None of those historic stats matter for this team.

Being from Toronto obviously I have a lot of friends that are Leafs fans. Before the game in a group chat, one buddy asks if Alexander Lafreniere Daigle is playing tonight which I responded with, "That's the same question I ask about Matthews and Marner during the playoffs". They didn't like that too much lol

And the team was annoyed at the face off disparity, which hopefully means they will continue to work at it. The frustration was pretty palpable, especially on Strome, which should be the case when you are 1 for 12 between the dots
