It has been a rough ride the last few games. Team has not looked quite like everyone has hoped. However, while there were some bad games there were also a few games that could have been won. I do not believe the record of this team is a true indication.

Also, signing Parise and Chara were never meant to be the final pieces to the puzzle. Everyone clearly knew that additional moves would need to be made. They in my opinion were stop gap pieces with hopes of some success.

The team is just not playing Trotz system either. Hopefully the next four games at home will get the juices flowing and pull them back above .500. Leafs, Rags and Pens after home opener are good ingredients.

I am also up for giving Salo a shot.

I like the forward lines and as far as the defense pairings I mean what are you going to do?

There's not going to be a lot of "good" pairings on the back end for awhile. Like you said in the other post...hopefully Salo comes in and has a Toews-like debut and forces Trotz to find a spot for him because we desperately need it right now.

I do like the forward lines. Nice to see Barzal and Beau back together, hope their speed creates some space for Lee.

I will be shocked if Trotz rolls with this pairing.

I thought Salo was a R shot. He’ll be playing his off side if partners w Chara. And if Aho is in the line up, Mayfield will be they only R hot on the point. None of this is ideal IMO. Separately, Bolduc is having a poop year w zero points in 11 games. Oh and he’s a L shot too 😂😂
