Sometimes an injury to a key player can force everyone to look in the mirror and bear down a bit more. But, yeah, I wish we didn't have to test out that theory with an injury to that particular player on this particular D. Oh well, no more training wheels for Dobson...he's going to have to step up in a big way.

In related news, the Isles' climb back up the standings is delayed 4-6 weeks.

I hereby retract any and all predictions I previously made about where the Islanders would end up in the Metro Division standings.

Sometimes an injury to a key player can force everyone to look in the mirror and bear down a bit more. But, yeah, I wish we didn't have to test out that theory with an injury to that particular player on this particular D. Oh well, no more training wheels for Dobson...he's going to have to step up in a big way.

Not sure he can. We’re going to find out but we knew going into this season any extended injury to pulock or Pelech would be curtains for us. After seeing our defense for the last 13 games it has become even more apparent

There is literally zero chance he plays a game. They will call him up to sit in the press box while we get Aho and maybe Hickey. Giving Salo a game would be a very good idea but no shot it happens. My bet is they sit Wahlstrom and Dobson again for Hickey and Johnston.

Trotz seemed pretty impressed with Golyshev’s game so it wouldn’t shock me. We’re going to need one or two of these kids to step to be competitive till Pulock is back. Pretty terrible situation for this team to be in especially when we just finished this road trip.

Came off sounding that way I guess but I get what you’re saying. If they manage to take these two games this weekend it would be quite a statement. Like I said we need one of these kids to exceed expectations. Been a while since we had that happen this would be a good time…
