As shaky as the Isles defense has been, the offense is not much better.

Amongst other things, there is a complete lack of chemistry with this team right now, which is baffling

Brutal long road trip but Islanders did not look ready to start the season. Still plenty of hockey left but this year will be Lou and Barry's biggest Islander test yet.

Aho kicked it to him

Send him 2 bouquets of flowers? Not his fault. It’s Chara’s!

Not saying it was the wrong move, because it wasn't, but we lost a good bit of speed and skill with Eberle and Leddy going. That seems to be sorely lacking so far.

I fortunately didn’t watch tonight. I’m gonna be positive and hope they win tomorrow night, get to .500 like many of us were hoping after this stretch and get their sh!t together for the long UBS home stand.

Leddy for sure is missed. The draft really hurt the Isles not to mention losing Toews. Might be a good idea to just run Wally with Barzal for a while.

Would not mind Salo getting a look. Cannot see him being totally lost with him being 23 and the Swedish Elite league experience.

Probably. Tampa can shut things down and especially against the Islanders.

For Aho I do wonder if they'll actually let him play a few games. I'd prefer he played at Chara or Greene's expense, and they let Dobson play through his struggles. .

Ironically, Chara and Greene were the only d-men who were not - in the +/- in this game.

Probably would not make much of a difference if Aho gets a couple of games. It's bad when Butchie mentions a lack of energy. This is almost a flashback to game 7 when the Islanders could not generate anything.

Did you watch Aho tonight? What was good about his game that you would want him to play before either Chara, Dobson or Greene? The latter playing imho very well.

I mean good on Chara but he was not in the arena for three of the five Tampa goals

It was 2-1 for most of the game. The offense did in the Isles against Tampa as usual.
