Ouch! But so true...

I guess the thing about it - I believe this is the best Jets team they've had since their return - and I hate to see them waste what can be a great opportunity.

But they can't do it on paper - they have to do it on the ice.

I have said this before and say it again. This team is extremely talented and they win despite their coach. At time it looks like I'm watching a spongie game or kids playing at the community club for a game of pickup. There is no structure and just freewheeling out there. Then for around a 5 game stretch around three times a season they play structured and they dominate the games and doesn't matter who they are playing and I sit there during the game bewildered as to why they can't play like this all the time???

From the Oilers blog.....

Winnipeg is a top 10 team right now in preventing goals against, having allowed the 8th fewest at 37 (Edmonton is 19th with 42). Strangely though they're PK is the third worst in the league at 65.79%. Put another way, the Jets are an incredibly stingy team at 5 on 5 and have not allowed an inch but if you can force them to take a penalty they're going to be in trouble.

Very good point made here. Stay out of the penalty box and the Jets usually win . Stay out of the penalty box against the best PP in the league and that formula should work even better.

Looking forward to a very exciting game tonight. I had these two games circled before the season even started.
