Willie and Matthews still don't play hockey to win.
They should probably have a few sessions with Datsyuk and Babcock. - MaximusAurelius

His commitment to getting back has been outstanding. - jribout
Nylander has been by far and away your most consistent player from about the 3/4 mark last season (and in playoffs) and so far this year. His game is growing nicely.
I still don’t like that soft brand of puck he plays but I suppose that’s more often the way it’s played these days.
Best output/dollars/impact contract on Toronto and one of the better ones on the league right now. |

Almost as if the sport of hockey is played at a high rate of speed, thus often generating mistakes and miscues by multiple players throughout a single game.
Waiting for a player you don't like that's on the team you cheer for to make a mistake just so you can say "I told you so" (meanwhile the guy you do like can make an equally bad mistake the next shift) is such a waste of time. - UsernameUnknown
That was my point. |

Getting? We’re going to likely have to have a celebratory century of hot garbage takes celebration soon!
So old the dead sea was only slightly sick when he started! |

I'm just here for Woll's debut game.
I'll be back after first round playoff defeat -- or if Dubas gets sacked, then earlier. |

Willie is one of the better and consistent forecheckers on the team. It’s just that he’s more interested in the puck than the body. |

Yeah, if only they could have talked to Mike Babcock at some point in their careers, that would have helped. |

Ya for sure and he’s not necessarily afraid to go to the net (as the slot shot stat showed)…..I just prefer more robust forechecking. He does get the job done though, just doesn’t make Dmen think twice or hesitate for the rest of the game. But again the game is different now. I get it. |

He wants to score and needs his team to get the puck back. Leafs don’t really have any big hitting forecheckers. Foligno was supposed to be one and Ritchie isn’t doing it. |

Nylander forechecking hard to steal the puck, then absorbing a hit from a second guy along the boards to make a pass out front, beating two guys along the boards for the puck
just an observation |
