could be their own version of a "rusty nail" (might be L8 to the party but I recently had that drink for the first time, it was surprisingly better than I had anticipated lol)

quote=Pat1993]or, it's just really old coffee they let sit on the back burner so that some of the water evaporates. #timhortonsisanevilcorporation

yeah, scotch and drambuie. not a fan of drambuie, which is why I guess I hadn't tried it before, but once mixed it wasn't bad.

bourbon is my jam.

scotch just tastes like band aids to me now. bourbon, rye, irish whiskey, etc. i'll take any one of them first.

really eh? damn

I've always had basically just rum, vodka or gin (right now it's almost just gin) so I can't say I've explored the scotch/whiskey/rye/bourbon universe a lot.

bourboverse?

bourbon will always be my number one but rye is really nice with the spiciness, especially around this time of year.

i love gin too. my problem with gin is i'll drink a ton of it when i find one that i like and regret it around 5 am.

yeah, gin can be dangerous, especially the premium stuff, it just goes down so smoothly. personally I don't get hung over with it anymore, as long as some of my drinks are mixed, and not just on the rocks.

at 5am, is it because you're still up, or you wake up feeling miserable AF..? lol

see, i've been drinking it just on the rocks lately. if i mix it with tonic i'd drink 1000 of them.

usually it's waking up with a splitting headache.

I think that's the issue, tonic doesn't hydrate you well enough. might sound silly but have you ever tried mixing Bombay with gatorade? I swear the next morning you won't have a headache. (well, maybe if you drink a thousand of them...)

i can't imagine mixing it with gatorade. my real problem is not thinking to just down a gatorade right before bed. or even just a bunch of water. i just lie down and pass out.

I would never mix premium stuff but Bombay I don't mind at all. and yeah the best thing you could do if you aren't mixing would be to have a bite and chug some water before going to bed, definitely makes the next day easier.
