Are you talking about the pono player? I don't own one but I have listened and don't feel the purchase is justified. Quality is reasonable, but for me its not worth it.

This conversation brings back sweet, happy memories of my first career job, when you didn't dare leave before 7 pm, even if you had absolutely nothing to do.

Such a waste of time and energy.

And so franking counter-productive - kick people out at 5 pm, so they can recharge their batteries.

I once worked at a place where from the May 24 weekend to Labour Day, the office closed at 1 pm on Fridays. Staff always got their poop done by 1 pm.

Management would usually linger until about 2 pm, but then we would go out and have a couple of beers and have a 50/50 chitty-chat - some work, some non-work. It was really productive.

If I have a 2pm tee time on a Friday I guarantee I get just as much if not more done before I leave then if I was to stay around procrastinate till 5. When i have a deadline like that and something to look forward too it’s very motivating.

After 1 hour you need to get up and turn them back on.
