Thank you!

Can't wait to see the outrage machine after it settles and no one knows the terms.

99.99999% there will be a gag order on the settlement.

If Kalynuk needed to go to Rockford for conditioning and to get "game ready", wouldn't the same apply for C. Jones? He also hasn't played since pre-season. Maybe his waiver status effects it, or just too many d-men in Rockford. If he can't be sent down, I would give him Gus' 6-8 mins a night and let him work his way into game shape. Anything is better than watching Gus try and play D.

On Stillman, I like the way he plays and his effort, but man he makes some really bad reads. Steps up for hits and either thinks he is faster than actuality, or guys are faster than he is processing.

Don't get me wrong he should be on the 4th line, in case there's any confusion

He should be in Rockford. He is another guy who treats the puck like a grenade. For a big guy he gets knocked off the puck easily.

Its gotta be hard for you to watch a game considering you barely like anyone on it

Silly me wanting more from a player than you can get from a traffic cone.

I think the general premise is true. Not necessarily McDavid specifically, but if the Oilers are going to win the whole thing, they will have to think more defensively as a team. I don't think you can simply outscore teams in the playoffs.

C. Jones would have to pass through waivers, so my guess is that they don't try to test that option.

You are correct, I think. For rehab stints, waivers do not apply. I think that is how Nylander is in Rockford at this point.

Nylander wasn't injured at the time he was sent down. He just wasn't claimed by anyone.

Edit: for the record, I'm not sure about a rehab stint being exempt.

Nylander was given another year of being protected, last year did not count.

Id like to pose this question....if accumulating assets is a goal at the TDL, would you consider flipping Murphy for assets and what could you get for him? by assets, I lean to draft picks
- glennjpawlak22

Other than whoever does the European scouting... What in their draft history the last 10 years outside of getting super lucky with Saad and Debrincat shows that they have any competency drafting in the first or second round?

He may be playing 22 minutes a night, but when he’s on the ice good things rarely happen.
His Corsi is 37, Fenwick is 38, if you hate fancy stats hes a -13. If you really hate fancy stats he has 1 point.
The guy doesn’t pass the eye test or the numbers test, and Stan extending him was a mistake. And before you blame the team, his Corsi and Fenwick relative numbers are also atrocious. He’s replacement level at best right now, I’d rather use his cap space on just about anyone.

- ObeseOprah

He's looked better the last 2 games. JC had him chasing guys above the dots and everywhere else. I think settling down and playing more normal hockey will start to turn more of those negative numbers positive.

(frank)ing Torts

- BetweenTheDots

He's been saying that since the season started. Basically that the top players on the Oilers need to commit to a 2 way game since that is what is needed in the playoffs with how the referees swallow their whistles and open play stops.

In context, his main point was that playing hard at both ends of the ice trickles from the top down.

Toews and Hossa would be good examples of that. Similar cases would be Kopitar or Bergeron or Marchand or Datsyuk or Zberg and eventually OV.

Oh i agree, i just love how Torts says it. Don't buy into that question the other guy asked, reading into something that isn't there

If you had any doubts about the attorney, she is going on the Score in 3 mins to detail for Parkins and Spiegal.

That's her side of the story.

The reason they have courts is for both side to argue their side of the story.

She has decided she has a stronger case if she goes to the public. She may be right.

Part of me sympathizes with her story, part of me thinks she comes across as an ambulance chaser.

Time will tell if she made the right call.

Not much with his contract bowman strikes again stuck with Murphy for at least 2 more years imo.

No he has a point to a certain degree but McDavid is not changing his game. For Edmonton to be successful in the playoffs need depth scoring and goaltending which has alluded Edmonton in recent years.

Fleury confirmed starting. Rest of lineup TBD; King says there's one player who's iffy for tonight and that'll dictate things.

We may see two Jones brothers tonight
