Yeah, but I changed my mind from earlier. I've decided I now want to be greedy and actually get something back for him.

Flyers win a tight one tonight. Leafs not that great on the road. Should be a fun one to watch!

Good road win and the shutout for Jack to boot.

All of a sudden, the headlights are finding the Cats a bit closer

I watched the 3rd period.

So why are we trading Holl again? I have not watched enough games this year, but he's always been a guy who played above his pay grade. Is it Muzzin that's playing poorly and that's amplifying the woes on that line?

I guess Sandin and lilyguy have made enough of an impact to take spots... Either Holl or Dermott will sit.

but doesnt leave much room for error if injuries happen

That wasn't the case before he was benched.

Holl needs Muzzin to play well. Without him, he is honestly a 6th or 7th defenseman who should be making half as much as he does.

Agree, last spot on D will be a revolving door between Dermott and Holl, depending on which one sucks more at the time. I liked the play Kerfoot made on the Kase goal. The first goal was a bit iffy, but (frank) the Flyers. Ritchie played better, the Leafs need to bait the opposing net with snacks.

The Leafs are playing The Flames after they played vs the Habs.

Hopefully the Habs will take them into OT.

Game night boys!

3 - 0 Leafs. I'm hoping Matthews is still fired up from last game and puts up a couple goals and that MVP Nylander gets some apples.

Bump

Well, let's be honest: the start of the season hasn't exactly been gangbusters up until November and I don't care who you are, outside of a handful of elite defensemen, if your partner plays like poo, chances are, so do you.

And 2M a year is... not much for defensemen.

I like the depth.

All it takes is like one guy to get hurt on the backend and we'd wish we had a 7th guy.

It's not like the Marlies are chock-full of NHL ready guys either.

If Dermott or Holl can handle platooning, we should keep them until at least the deadline if something better comes along or the off-season, because neither is going to net us much other than draft picks.

In that tweener area on the Marlies you have Biega, Menell and Dahlstrom, who have all played in the NHL. Biega has 241 NHL games, Dahlstrom has 64, Menell has 5 but did play a full season last year in the KHL. That's a fair bit of 6/7 depth compared to most teams.

We’re going to need $ at some point so I’m ok with someone going. I’d say move one of them now for a pick and hold onto the cap space. See where things stands when Mik comes back and maybe look at moving someone then. At that point you can decide about bringing in a 7th or another backup if Woll doesn’t look like he can do it. First step though, I acquire cap flexibility.

Man does the TSN web site for hockey suck ass!

No update in the standing from yesterday's games yet!

I'm at a point that TSN isn't worth using anymore
