No question Lou and Barry see there is an issue. I think short term I would give Aho a look. Trades will be tougher at this point. Anything is possible but it is very difficult to see the Isles going on another long playoff run with Greene and Chara playing regularly.

Like I said I doubt aho moves the needle one way or another but maybe giving him a few games lights a fire under everyone’s butts. I still feel the team is going through their usual early season doldrums and it’ll work itself out but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with throwing him in there. I’ll also add especially since I believe he should get some games when we have two 40 plus defenseman playing every game.

I’m still waiting for that one game where it clicks for Dobson. I feel it will come he has the talent but it hasn’t happened yet. He has not been good this season. We needed him to at least be serviceable and fill a void he has not delivered so far.

It's worth throwing Aho out there just to send a message. It's not panic time but playing two 40 plus dmean is a concern for any team. Would be interesting to know if any team in the modern era has gotten to a Cup with two 40 plus dman?

See how close to the deadline they can't get with him before making a move. I'll agree he's been better and at 44 it probably takes more time to get back in game shape too. Once this team gets it they should go on a run

4th goal wasn't the best but he was hung out to dry all game and made a lot of 10 bell saves. Hard for the isles to score through the goalies chest at the other end. I'd say sorokin was the reason it wasn't 6 0 or maybe 7

yea hes been in the right areas around the net as has Parise so I think the goals will come

ok.. so let's break it down..
the good - Parise actually looks exponentially better than I expected. He has been a very pleasant surprise for me... (I know a lot of u guys really wanted him.. I wasn't on that list).
- Pelech is just friggin incredible and so is Sorokin. his full split save was jaw dropping.

meh- Barzy is flying all over the place but can't seem to finish. I am confident the goals will come...

Chara stinks, so Does Bailey, and Palmieri hasn't been terrible but can't score to save his life.

Greene and Chara's age has put pressure on Dobson to be able to handle more.

Well yeah but he was expected to take a step forward this year by the coaching staff and lameriello and hasn’t yet.

I suppose it depends on if Lou can work a deal for him going forward but he would be great on this team and shore up the d and actually upgrade it from last year
