4th goal wasn't the best but he was hung out to dry all game and made a lot of 10 bell saves. Hard for the isles to score through the goalies chest at the other end. I'd say sorokin was the reason it wasn't 6 0 or maybe 7

I share your opinion. How many odd man rushes/breakaways were there all game? Defense(both forward and D men)was a tire fire from the end of the 2nd on.

Have a feeling he may be getting a look soon. I don’t expect him to swoop in and save the day by any means but I still think he’ll see some games.

I agree but Aho might at least be able to skate or pass the puck out of trouble. Maybe you catch lighting in a bottle or maybe not at least you find out.

No doubt. The first goal all 5 player went to the corner to retrieve the puck in our own end. The second was a deflection off a wide shot. Not much you can do about either as a goalie. The rest of the team played uninspired hockey.

This is going to be a challenge for sure with the full schedule back and all the playoff games the Isles played the last two years not to mention this long road trip.

I agree Salo takes over next year most likely but if Aho is on the roster this year he should get a look. Barry seemed to like him during camp unless that was all talk.

I’m still waiting for that one game where it clicks for Dobson. I feel it will come he has the talent but it hasn’t happened yet. He has not been good this season. We needed him to at least be serviceable and fill a void he has not delivered so far.

I believe it. I think with Salo being older and having the Swedish Elite League experience will help him but most players will need longer to adjust.

Greene and Chara's age has put pressure on Dobson to be able to handle more.

Agreed. Everyone progresses at different speeds, and, as you said, the kid's got the tools, so I have little doubt that it'll come together for him at some point. But right now he's still playing like someone who requires sheltered minutes in easier situations. And, for varying reasons, that's the case for like half the D corps at this point, so they kind of needed Dobson to be something more than that out of the gate.

I was just lazy with my one sentence UIF.

No question Lou and Barry see there is an issue. I think short term I would give Aho a look. Trades will be tougher at this point. Anything is possible but it is very difficult to see the Isles going on another long playoff run with Greene and Chara playing regularly.
