We dont get enough quality time in the O Zone to fire that many shots even if we took shots at the rate FLA does. We have a tough go of it just trying to set up the offense.. or get in the zone

These stats do not paint the best picture. I didn't think they'd be dead last in almost every category.

I understand why he did it last night, but man, knowing how the Rangers are in 3rd periods, I would have challenged that FL goal. It was pretty blatant crosscheck on Igor by whatshisface.

two early frustrations i've had with GG with his in-game management are a few non-challenges i can recall and not utilizing timeouts to calm the game down when it starts getting away from us

i'm not arguing for or against his contract here but he's only put up 50 points twice
- picklerick

He would again in 2019 and 2020 on regular 82 game schedule. He’s been pretty consistent last 3 years

i'm simultaneously completely ignorant about what each of those advanced stat category means but also believe heavily in their usefulness

Which is kind of nuts. I want Fox and even Miller just to fire as much as possible.

Miller's goal was insane. He needs to do more of that. That was cool they showed that last night he went from like 17mph to 24 mph(I think) in three strides to get around the d man

I'll give you 2019/20 but 20/21 averages out to 49.2

Yup. Like AV with the timeouts. It might be a Rangers rule

i was real hyped about him this offseason because he scored some filthy goals in Da Beauty League, which is i guess like a beer league for professionals with very low competition, but cool to see nonetheless

Torts would call a timeout if he didn't like 4 shifts to start a game

Miller is a keeper. I will fight anyone who wants to trade him

It seems complicated but many of them are just differential between for and against.

The PDO at the end is interesting because it indicates teams that should improve or may regress. The Rangers number seems to indicate that they are performing approximately to what would be expected despite some of the other categories showing severe deficiencies.

LOL I dont want him gone just for the sake of it, Its because for his size he plays smaller and the fact that LA needs a D man and we need a center he will bring back a good return.

I'm leaning towards this view. If we were to be able to get a bonafide superstar, I'd consider it, but otherwise he's someone you can build around.

Yup. Has to be a hell of a trade for me to be happy losing him.

he is more valuable on this team than the return he would get on the market right now

Has anyone gone to the XL center for a Wolfpack game? Thinking of taking my wife and daughter.
- JRR1285

Yes but not in years. The arena is way too big for an AHL crowd so it feels oddly empty in there. At one point they hung a black curtain around the upper deck to make it feel more intimate but not sure if it’s still there. Jealous the Islanders got Bridgeport. Short beer lines though!

If you go would be curious to hear about your experience. Seems like a good season to catch a game.

I want to test out an AHL game before trying to bring my daughter to the garden.

I think we will be going the day after Thanksgiving. I'll post about it afterwards.

I know I am probably annoying everyone but this is the first time I tried to look into advances stats in a meaningful way.

This chart and the explanations below are all pretty interesting. (to me)

Well, the Rangers aren't being influenced by luck according to this (not so sure about that )

But they are also sporting a very low shooting percentage and are getting severely outshot. If they can normalize their shooting percentage and stop getting outshot consistently they could be in business.
