I don't see why Vegas would trade last year's first rounder, let alone with Reilly Smith, for that return. Kravstov hasn't done a single thing yet at any level he's played at that would warrant a good return for him.

it's simple really. Vegas does not like having high picks or prospects and trades them any chance they get

So glad that the Eichel sh!tshow has finally concluded. Vegas needs cap space if Eichel can heal up this season after surgery.

Does it make sense to deal Kravtsov and Gauthier ( or a pick ) to rent Reilly Smith and get center prospect Zach Dean in return? To me, this would be a good way to use our cap space surplus for this year and remove the Kravtsov distraction from our team.
WIN/WIN

Just remember, the cap in this league is a daily cap, and as long as Stone or Patches doesn't come back too quickly, they should be fine.

As the trade itself, it might be OK. I'm just not high on anyone on their team that's realistically attainable. Willy K is looking kind of rough, and that's the only name I'm kind of interested in.

To be fair he did really well at the KHL level. NHL only played 20 games

That's my big thing to, I feel like faceoffs are more of just either you are good or not. You can practice as much as you want and study as much as you want but if the guy across from you is just better will it matter who they bring in to train them?

Valley had a stat on the rangers faceoffs last game. I believe he said the rangers were 31st in faceoffs but plus one on goals from faceoffs . If you’re not good at faceoffs the be good at puck retrieval at faceoffs

So Laf on the 4th line tomorrow and Nils still sitting for Tinordi. This should all go over well with rangers Twitter

I hope neither is true. I know Laf practiced on the 4th line. But GG promised us young players wouldn’t/shouldn’t play on the 4th line and he’d never lie to us. Not about this and definitely not about choosing a captain

No, it doesn't make sense playing laf on the 4th line. But, he hasn't done anything to prevent it either. Next stop is the press box, or Hartford.

Miller for as big as he is plays way too soft. He has zero snarl. That’s his problem.

It's not so much a knock on him as it is just saying that he hasn't really shown much that would lead me to believe he'd be worth a return like that. Not to say he can't/won't get there, but it just hasn't happened yet.

I'd think they could clear cap space in more efficient ways than that Smith would net a decent return on his own if he were made available, I don't think they'd need to give up their most recent 1st round pick to clear space. Plus Stone is on LTIR and Eichel will also be there for at least the next 3-5 months.

If any ranger should sit or demoted for a bit it’s KK. He’s had one memorable game that come to mind

Edmonton, Flames and Florida in 3 of the next 4 days. If the rangers don’t bring the 60 min effort this will not end well

We will have a glut of defense man and he wants to trade the number one pick from 2 years ago???

Not to mention the fact that Montreal has about 2 players worth acquiring. Why would they trade them just to have Laffy surrounded by plugs?

Who made this schedule. How do the rangers get less than 48 hours to travel from western Canada to have to play Florida. So dumb to me

Well, really they don't need 60 minutes against EDM. Just try really hard when McJesus and Draisaitl are on the ice. That's pretty much their team.
