What i like about Carp is if he doesn't have to handle the puck, he does a good job on defense and he goes to the front of the net, digs pucks out of the corners, helps on board battles in the ozone and neutral zone

Just like a 4th line player should.

McCabe with the horrible turnover, but you need a big stop from your goaltender there.

MAF can look so small, so chaotic in the net as he athletically (spastically) flops about.

Makes you really appreciate Corey’s calm, position based game. I sure miss it.

Fleury is responsible for 2 bad goals, the 2nd and 4th. Both through the 5 hole,

Very difficult to win with bad goaltending. He and Lankinen have combined for 2 solid games this season.

Hawks definitely outclassed by the Hurricanes, but MAF has to play better.

They need to run Freddie now. Canes had too many runs at MAF tonight.

Season is a write off
Why keep Kane here vs trading for the rebuild??

He's really frustrating me. Same move to lose the puck every time he has it. And if he does go toward the net, he goes behind it rather than driving toward it. It alos looks like he's not skating as hard as earlier. There's nothing to lose if we lose another game, so I'd bench him a game to give a message since at this point is going to be another development year. Granted we did play the league's best team but Hardman and Entwhistle are playing better and with more pop.

Because you would have to retain salary. His contract is up next year, you would have 2 more years on the books if you trade him. Plus you will get dreck back for him. Bad contracts and a #1 draft choice that won’t be very high because Kane would only go to a contender.

And do you trust that this interim GM wouldn’t get fleeced on a deal?

I don’t ever need to see Fleury again. He’s a (frank)ing Sieve.

We should have a cheap off season this year when it comes to contract renewals. Dach, Kubalik, and Strome who are working for new contracts are doing themselves a disservice with their play. I am especially disappointed with Dach lately.

My exact thoughts, play Lankinen going forward, that was the Hawks game, and that was a goalie loss if I’ve ever seen one. He’s played two good games, that’s it.

And this why 18 year olds shouldn’t be in the NHL unless they’re very special players or they are solid in every aspect of the game. Dach can’t learn the basic skills playing in the best league in the world. He can’t learn to score, which was his weakness in his last year of junior. I’m sure other aspects of his game weren’t refined as well. Now we have a 20 year old who is compounding his mistakes playing on a bad team. Fans are getting frustrated, that frustration can build and it won’t be long before he’s being booed and the media will be all over him.

Dach is a flop and will never be a star in this league....Other than long reach, he loses more faceoff, loses battle on boards, average shot at best and no mean streak in him...Wasted draft choice....

In the show moral victories don't mean squat. They were outclassed by a real good team, but Fleury cost them the game. And when Carpenter is your secret weapon at the end of the game your team has a long way to go to be a contender.

And why on the PP will the guy taking the puck out of the zone work and powerskate to get around a neutral zone defender and then just pass the puck backwards and give the same defender a 2nd crack at it? Just give it back to your guy at the first sign of a defender so as not to risk a give away if you're going to do it no matter what. Most teams do it. The league is such a copy cat league. Oh well, good night.
