I know but it's frustrating Jones put himself in that position especially after he (frank)ed up earlier and Gus bailed him out, to me its a really unnecessary risk when you are up 2 goals, lucky bounce here and there and now it's 3-2, and Carolina didn't have to earn that goal we handed it to them on a silver platter

I think it’s a different mindset if they were in the 3rd, then you tell Jones to limit his depth in the o-zone. In the second, I think it’s ok to push the play

It’s possible, but doubtful. If he was at the end of a shift he would/should have been on the other side of the ice near the bench for a change.

I noticed on Monday how he struggles to get off when they have the long change.

A forward was covering for Jones and was in the other point, may have reacted late, but there was a forward high.

This is why I discount fancy stats. Woulda coulda shoulda, expected, reversion to the mean, but at the end of the day, the Hawks record sucks.

What i like about Carp is if he doesn't have to handle the puck, he does a good job on defense and he goes to the front of the net, digs pucks out of the corners, helps on board battles in the ozone and neutral zone

It's also nice not to have to face Hamilton on the PP vs this team
