Now be patient play solid defense and they'll get a chance to make this 4-1 |

Some great chemistry there with Cat, Hardman, and Kurashev...whoda thunk it

Hawks will score more when secondary scorers shoot more instead of deferring to Kane and ADB. |

And there is the Gus we know. Jones is in deep and he punches and gets beat. |

Gus being Gus. And Fleury let’s the puck go under him after the shooter loses control. That’s the way to protect a 2 goal lead guys.

So we can only play 33 minutes of smart solid hockey |

That’s on Colliton.
Why does he pair Jones with Gus? |

That’s on Gus. - Angotti
I know but it's frustrating Jones put himself in that position especially after he (frank)ed up earlier and Gus bailed him out, to me its a really unnecessary risk when you are up 2 goals, lucky bounce here and there and now it's 3-2, and Carolina didn't have to earn that goal we handed it to them on a silver platter |

It’s on both. That pairing shouldn’t happen, but Gus has to be smarter.
Same reason why Carpenter shouldn’t be on a top line. |

I wonder if Gus was supposed to change and didn’t

I think it’s a different mindset if they were in the 3rd, then you tell Jones to limit his depth in the o-zone. In the second, I think it’s ok to push the play |

It’s possible, but doubtful. If he was at the end of a shift he would/should have been on the other side of the ice near the bench for a change.
I noticed on Monday how he struggles to get off when they have the long change. |

Exactly, if Jones pinches, then Gus can’t pinch as well, that was just plain dumb. Also, a forward should have covered for Jones. |

It’s on Gus, Colliton, a forward, and Fleury for not coming up big. |

I really did not expect the Blackhawks to do so well at the dot tonight
The PK is still playing very well
Seems like Canes are having issues with the bigger skaters on our team as much as it pains me to say got to give credit to JC

If that was the only part of his game that he struggles with, he’d be okay. |

Then i guess as Jones coming into the ozone 1 of the forwards should just automatically stay at the blue line since he seems to do it about every time |

Yes, if he slots them where they add value, not on top six. |

A forward was covering for Jones and was in the other point, may have reacted late, but there was a forward high. |

This is why I discount fancy stats. Woulda coulda shoulda, expected, reversion to the mean, but at the end of the day, the Hawks record sucks. |

What i like about Carp is if he doesn't have to handle the puck, he does a good job on defense and he goes to the front of the net, digs pucks out of the corners, helps on board battles in the ozone and neutral zone |

It's also nice not to have to face Hamilton on the PP vs this team |
