I agree he did play a very important role on the team, however I don't think his departure necessarily explains why they've become such a fragile team that barely has any cohesion. I guess if you add to that Weber and Price not being in the lineup it's starting to make sense, but still, the way they're struggling is baffling to me. - Pat1993
I think the loss of Danault is more important than Weber or Price being injured.
Danault gone, the entire center line is (frank)ed. not a single one plays in the right chair, except for Evans on the 4th. Boucher just said the same thing on rds. |

any dcorp running bogosian, rutta and cernak on the right side isn't the best.

As a sabres fan, there is no way I’m trading away eichel without getting a young centre in return. Aka nick Suzuki - cburgess
how about if I add Poehling to the package? that was only my opening bid.
could be Dvorak too btw. |

It’s different hockey in the playoffs too tho. Habs we’re great at choking team and winning 2-1 games. They are missing 3 key pieces to play that style right now. Now they are forced to play offence and they have no depth at centre to create offence for their high priced wingers |

That Hagel fella, did I ever tell you I used to bang his aunt in high school?
Almost took his mom for a ride but she stopped me short, just let me play with her cans.
And she had some nice cans.. - pete26

Sabres fans are delusional. If you want a guy like Suzuki then it’s going to be one for one at best. |

I don't necessarily disagree with this, but logically they should at least be able to generate a bit more offense than they are currently... that this group of players only managed to win 2 god damn hockey games so far this season simply isn't normal

I like your thinking but I’m assuming it’s no deal if Suzuki isn’t going back the other way |

I’m not a sabres fan, but you have to look at it from their point of view. So you’re going to trade away your top line centre who is 25 years old and is one of the best in the league? Why am I giving that up and not getting atleast nick Suzuki back? |

yeah, no matter what the reasons are, bottom line is they're a complete mess.

there will be tough competition though with Chicago and Arizona - Pat1993
It's a lottery. Luck is involved too. Can't just be one year and think your ready to compete for a cup. We've been doing that for decades and it's worked a total of zero times. Need to suck for a few years.Time to stop doing the same thing and expecting a different result. The good news is once Price comes back with his 840 save percentage we will be even worse than we are now. |
