the problem with the goalie is that he only plays 55 games. what do you do for the other 27?? are McDavid and Crosby playing 60% of the games? - fidopro
Pittsburgh maintained a 3-3-2 record so far this season despite not having Crosby, Malkin and Letang in the lineup. god damn bastards.

Three more losses in a row and its bye bye Bergevin and his stupid never ending plan of squeaking into the playoffs and hoping Price performs miracles.
Start selling and collecting as many firsts as you can for the Bedard draft.
Do everything necessary to get rid of the Gallagher contract. Years of playing the way he did has caught up..Dont wait two years until its painfully obvious his contract is hurting the team. Do it now.
Next years team needs to be Caulfield, Suzuki and a bunch of Chinese guys. Preferably small, slender and never played hockey before - hunglikeapuck
To be fair to Bergevin, it's the kind of garbage that has been fueled by the toxic Montreal media still stuck in the dynasty years of the 70s, which also managed to brainwash a majority of the fan base as well. In their minds, the Sainte-Flanelle can not be tainted by this idea of losing 'on purpose' as part of a well planned strategy to rebuild the team through elite players selected at the top of the 1st round.
As long as this situation endures, the team will always be stuck in the purgatory of average to mediocre with no hope of being in a window of contention for the Cup. It will take a leader far braver than the likes of Molson and Bergevin to sit down with the fanbase and media and explain them how to build a true championship team in the 21st century era of salary cap.

I will try and write this slowly for all you french canadians, Crickets Is a term often used to describe no response, Missing In action, No one home etc.... thus Carey CRICKETS Price, Gone, Missing In action, Mailing It In, Not home, Probably still getting paid and not showing up for work like Toews and Rask. |

the money Habs spend is not that badly allocated (between offense and defense). it's just that instead of centers they have wingers. and to many stay at home dmen, not enough pmd. they are built to play defense with Price and big dmen. that's playoffs hockey. if you can make it there! - fidopro
but once you do, you never know, right..?

interesting, but false. other teams draft better and find a way to win. see BOS. Pastrnak Bergeron and Marchand are not top3 overall picks. same with many other teams. Point and Kucherov are not top3 picks either.
but when you draft kk over Tkachuk or Hughes... the draft record over the past 10-15 years is catching up to them. people are still there though, pumping iron and laughing all the way to the bank. |

It's a hell of a lot easier to draft first than to draft smarter, and judging by Timmins track record after all those years, excuse me if I don't have any faith in the scouting department.

It can’t be scouting, how do you miss on that may tries? A blind man would eventually get a bullseye when he’s given enough darts. |

That’s what I thought too. That’s a span of what? 12-15 years and you have zero of those 1st rounders playing in your organization. That’s almost impossible to accomplish |

this is something we'll never know either, but you have to wonder what MB could have accomplished had he got rid of Timmins early during his tenure and was able to rely on solid scouting instead...

Is it Timmons selecting the first round pick or the GM?
