Can't complain about anything that period. Loved the PP, no extra passes, no passed up shots. |

Over/under on Bob saying 6' 6" tonight? He's gotta be close to double figures already. |

Hard to ask anything more from the shorthanded Pens. Markstrom playing great. Keep shooting. Gotta say... Pretty impressed with Erod's game. |

Errey says the Pens may want to get a short-handed goal here. |

I honestly think even though the Pens are going to lose this game that they should still feel good. They've really controlled most of this game, but obviously the lack of scoring power in the lineup is catching up. |

Erod and DOC should not come out of the lineup if we ever get healthy. |

I feel like it's been a pretty even game at 5v5. Pens PP can't buy a goal. |

I mean, they're missing basically every major PP weapon except for Jake. |

I wouldn't even consider him a major PP weapon, I don't really think he's good on the PP. |

You're probably right. Hopefully we get Sid and Carter back against NJ.

I also think they under utilize him. He should be a bumper trigger man and not a net front presence much like Brayden Point is on TBLs PP.
I’d like to see Erod behind the net, sid on the half wall, Marino up top, Jake in the bumper position and either Letang or Kap on the other half wall. Work that triangle until there is an opening for Jake to rip one. |

Totally. Just because he's willing to take a beating doesn't mean he should be there. That's not his strength.

Blaming "hockey culture" is stupid and lazy. So of course Ryan Wilson makes the argument. He values the narrative more so than reality.
Hockey culture is to blame for players having no personality or ability to engage with fans like other athletes can. Hockey culture is to blame for the same coaches/managers to be recycled over and over again. Hockey culture isnt to blame for a sexual assault being kept quiet.
We've seen this story too often in US gymnastics, US soccer, college campuses, Hollywood, and other industries. The common symptom in these stories is a person in power having influence over others and then people with authority choosing to take the easy way out and do nothing. Im hoping sooner or later people will learn that you cant hide this stuff forever. Doing nothing just leads to an even bigger problem.
The bravery of Kyle Beach is remarkable, not just to say something, but to put a face to a name. One of the most awful parts of this to me is that the silence of the Blackhawks led to another innocent kid being victimized by this man. |

Completely agree with this. The best I ever saw of Jake on the PP is when he played that area a couple years ago while Sid was out and they slid Hornqvist in front. That's really the only spot he's good, maybe behind the net. He's not a perimeter player and he's not great at net front though he is at least improving a little.
The problem has always been those are also Sid's best spots. But with Malkin out and the PP dying for a LH option on the wall, playing Sid there and Jake in the slot should be the way to go. |

Which of these statements is harder to believe?
DOC, Heinen, and ERod are tied for the Pens scoring lead.
Brandon Tanev has more goals then anyone on the Penguin's point total. |
