Did Mitchell look that bad (of course anyone is going to look bad paired with Gus), or is this to get him more reps at Rockford. Interesting Phillips was recalled ahead of Beaudin or Galvis? Or are the Hawks looking for more size at the back end.
- LAHawk

I thought Mitchell's games so far with the Hawks this season haven't been bad at all and looks relatively stronger compared to last game. Better defensive reads, more conservative positioning, compete level is still present.

Regardless, it's best he further his development with top minutes in the AHL and in all situations (ES, PP, PK). Mitchell still has lots to refine in his game but he was neither the worst player on the Hawks nor a glaring liability.

Phillips has been one of the better D-men for the Hogs. Definitely better than Beaudin who has looked slow and not much better than last season. Galvas competes hard and activates all over the ice but just needs to pick his spots more.

To me, Phillips is an okay choice for a cup of coffee but don't think Galvas wouldn't have been bad either.

Either way, I see this as purely a cup of coffee then get reassigned for more seasoning especially as Kalynuk and C Jones return soon.

So players do not drink or have sex during the playoffs?
- LAHawk
well, for some, it is probably like 5 to 10 minutes. But for 3 to 4 hours and out very late and several cocktails. And probably not for the 2020 bubble playoffs, lol.

Definitely hope Kalynuk and Caleb Jones are able to come back strong soon. They both impressed me in preseason..

I rather see Mitchell in Rockford developing his has been good and improving from what I Been seeing.
Theo after all the fallout of this unfortunate incident do you think towes and Kane are traded so the hawks continues to further themselves from what happen in 2010?

Coming from someone who left years ago in a huff, and later said in a recent post that you would leave again. Not cool to attack a longtime lurker who even has a valid point.

I don't think you need to preface anything about verbal exchanges being right or wrong. As you mention, the reality is that in competitive sports, especially team sports, horrendous things are frequently spoken between competitors, even teammates. Nothing is out of bounds - mothers, wives, girlfriends, sexual persuasion, ancestry, religious beliefs, skin colour, hairlines. Somewhere along the line, the media decided to call this chirping. Now they and social media participants seem to want to profess shock at some of the things that are said and what crosses the line.

I would have loved to be near enough to listen to exchanges between Kesler and Toews or those started by Brad Marchand, Kevin Bieksa, Patrick Sharp, Shaw or Burrows inside their own dressing room or on the ice.

I would rather (if they are able) they just cancel their contracts. (morals clause) This way they don't retain salary, and end up making a trade for a bunch of slugs.

Plus what club will take the publicity hit?

Are they gonna cancel Hjammer, Hossa, Seabrooks legacy nights? And have Toews and Kane stand there revelling about the cup wins?

Think this is knee jerk ATM LA.

We would need John Doe to make a statement of specific player conduct and conduct another fact finding session to give the players due process.

Thanks for the reminder. I am usually the one to call for calm, I just find Kane. Toews, and Keith's statements disingenuous.

yo, dude. Harold Washington has a valid point. Keep an open mind. He should never have been out drinking and indulging in sexual activities during a run for the Stanley Cup. He really could play in a game, it is a possibility. But mostly stuff got out of control and he was like, what the F just happened. He made a poor decision. Where is his accountability? That is the problem with the society these days. And to be clear: What Aldrich did was wrong and what management did was wrong by not handling it immediately.
- Topshelf2010

Kyle Beach just laid it all out for the world to see on National tv, being that vulnerable and opening the door up for who knows how many victims to come forward. And your response is ‘he should never have been out drinking’ and ‘where is his accountability?’

Can't believe some of the comments by "fans".

Wouldn't be saying these things if it was their children, brother, father.

Glad there are some respectable Blackhawk fans though.

I left years ago because other things took priority, don’t recall ever arguing with anyone. With the recent excitement building for the hawks in the off-season I came back. Pretty disappointed to see the hot takes trying to shift blame to Kyle and poke holes in his story. Same garbage that people do to catholic priest victims and other rape victims. My bad for attacking a lurker, but I’m just sick of having to defend a guy who should be receiving unanimous support and sympathy. Some people just lack empathy I guess, like the guy yesterday who outted Kyle before he came forward then criticized him… all under the guise of ‘well I was abused’. Time to start calling garbage like this out.

Here’s my $0.02 on how it should have been handled, unfortunately I have terminated some long term employees in my career. Once the incident is reported, you cannot assume that the predator is guilty.
1. You send the accused home, cannot report to work until notified.
2. You prioritize the investigation, with a target of said investigation to be completed within 72 hours.
3. If accused is found guilty after investigation, accused is asked to report to management.
4. Once accused reports, you inform him of investigation results and inform him of employment termination.
5. Security follows him to collect personal belongings and walks him off premises.
6. NHL, NHLPA, and police are notified of results of investigation.
7. Victim is sent to counseling and management should follow up every couple of days with victim.
If the investigation would have been completed in a timely manner, management would have determined that it was not actually harassment, but assault.

You figure they can wrap up a he said/he said in 72 hours?

At the end of the day, that's still what this is

If you read the report, Beach's account is wildly different than the woman that Beach claimed "never came into the apartment and he walked her to the elevator"

She claims she went in, all 3 of them played strip poker and got naked. Aldrich and Beach both gave her oral and then she left. She waited in the lobby for 45 minutes for a taxi and never saw Beach leave

Why do you suppose Beach left that part out? Which version did the Hawks management hear?

If only Beach had gone to the cops, there would have been a real investigation in real time, instead of hersay and accounts a decade later

Agree horse shot post by whoever that was. Even if Beach put himself in a vulnerable position it DOES NOT give the right of one horrible person to take advantage of a person in this case Beach. Hopefully going forward Kyle can get some closure in this matter reminder to all he us the victim in this.

He went to the coach who went to upper management who swept it under the rug for 11 years.

The accused RAPED a 15 YEAR OLD AFTER LEAVING YOUR TRASH ORGANIZATION.

You people are joke of human beings.

Yep, if only Beach had gone to the cops...

This is assuming that Beach's version is the true version of events and not the unnamed woman, who has exactly no skin in this game

Aldrich can be a dirtball and guilty. Beach can also be lying about his role and the sequence of events. These are not mutually exclusive

Beach was responsible for going to the cops for his own situation. Then the entire truth about his situation would be known and Aldrich would likely have been dealt with

As of now, while Aldrich is guilty of the assault in the 15 year old, The Beach/Aldrich is still a he said/he said, given that the testimony of the unnamed woman in question leads Beach's statements to lack credibility

If that was the policy they.wanted at a certain level, it should have been communicated to those individuals if you want it to be a fireable offense. To decide later that the company policy was not strong enough and fire a guy who followed the written rules seems wrong to me. Also, for McD, Gary, and Stan to get the same punishment also seems wrong.
- mohel

I agree that he followed protocol, I’m 100% with you there. The point that Paul made is that this was not say some guy stealing from the business, this was allegedly a sexual assault. So you reported the incident to your manager, however, if you see that nothing was done, then morally you have an obligation to take it up higher than your manager. That is where SB failed, technically not cause for termination(you are correct), but morally wrong. If the incident was like I mentioned above stealing, then you report it to your manager and your responsibility is complete. If management does nothing in regards to employee stealing, oh well, you did your job.

Yes Beach and the Intern both lied.

Nothing ever happened.

Management never talked about winning the cup over doing the right thing.

Aldrich left on his own accord cause he was never in the wrong.

And your a joke
