you doubt it could become toxic? if they continue playing like this it's basically the only thing I expect to happen |

The media and fans will be toxic. The room, who knows but I doubt it |

I dunno, they've gone to being in the Stanley cup final to instantly being the joke of the league, that's gotta hit pretty hard, even if you try to reason it because of all the changes and poop that occurred. the only way I don't see it becoming toxic at all is if they either turn things around, or stop caring altogether. |

this. if poop continues to hit the fan this way for the rest of the season they should just send Caufield down with the Rocket, I wouldn't want the kid to endure this abysmal environment any further. - Pat1993
It’s part of his learning he needs to learn how to deal with the environment, would you send Suzuki to the minors? |

meh, perhaps it's my pessimism kicking in but I don't see anything positive for him to stay there right now, either for his learning curve or his confidence. I guess Suzuki's situation is different since he was just given a huge contract... |

So what is the biggest thing you see is the problem right now?
I say leadership since to get out of this funk someone needs to say something. With Edmundson back we will play better but it takes a team effort and our team is too fragile now so someone need to light a fire - habs88888
Leadership is a bullpoop excuse.
Weak team to begin with, GM did not backfill lost of depth, players do not fit together / right mix, slow defence, bad coaching, poor defensive play, etc.... etc... etc..
This is a team that is not ready and has no depth.
Leadership does not fix any of that poop.

Right contract aside these guys need to learn to play through challenges, I don’t
think Caufield would want to be in the minors anywhere, it’s stay or trade for him |

I also remember you said the same thing last year with depth and back then then we had Weber, Perry, Danault Price, Byron, Edmundson if that is not leadership I don’t know what is |

I had to jump in here seeing talk on beef and farming given we have a dairy and beef farm here in Nova Scotia. Buying local like you suggested is great, but not necessarily for the reason you mentioned. All meat and milk is antibiotic free. Not many people believe that, but we can't process a animal if it tests positive. If an animal is treated for a sickness we have to follow recommended withdrawal times so that they have no traceable residues. Milk is tested at every farm every pick up. There's no getting around it. Meat can be tested, though a little trickier to test properly. The fines can be big and the carcasses thrown out or made for animal feed if tested positive, so farmers don't risk the chance because of the economic risks. Growth hormones to be fair are allowed, but are basically non existent on this side of the country. It was more common out west for increased growth particularly in the cold weather but demand is drastically falling as consumers ask not to have it, but you probably won't taste the difference ( we don't use them!).
The main reason it tastes better is because once processed and to retailers, it's actually legal to add water (typically 5 to 10%) weight to the hamburger and certain other cuts. And anything sent long distances and isn't frozen, for example Argentina etc, is sealed in carbon dioxide..... seriously. So your buying a watered down version of un fresh meat. Growth hormones should go, and most farms have said good bye, and antibiotics are needed in certain situations to save animals lives, but won't make it to the table. Hope this helps clarify, and hope you got so great BBQ in this year. |

Also, my God this team is depressing. I left cheering on the Stanley cup finalist, came back today questioning everything 😭😭 |

This was not a good team last year.
The last 2 years, they only made the playoffs because of Covid (the extra teams in the bubble, and last year because Vancouver plummeted after their Covid scare).
The 2 years before that, they were a disaster.
Yeah, they got hot at the right time last year.
I will take the evidence of 4 years over a few good weeks of hockey.

If it gets to the point we have to trade him that will be sad so it is one of those two |

3 years before that I recall they were 2 points out of the playoffs so not really disaster. This team should not be as bad as it seems something has to change |

Another option is to put Caufield with Drouin and Dvorak that may add some spark |
